Not as of yet, probably won't do something like that for a long time. The default (2006) cops are already bad enough as they are, it's going to be hard re-texturing them. Especially the cruiser.

I love driver parallel lines but they really cheaped out on alot of detail. I hope they get a proper remaster of that title and make everything realistic.

Very nice mod! Will this mod receive any more updates? Perhaps the same but then for the 2006 era cops, because I really like your work :D Anyway, looks very nice in game, thank you Olanov. I'm using this mod for 1978 togheter with the NYPD M700 for 2006. EDIT: Just saw one of your previous comments about the 2006 cops, well thats to bad, but thank you anyway for these amazing skins. Perhaps an edit to the SWAT officers and SWAT van to change them to the ESU? Just an idea :p

Olanov Very nice! You're making good progress. About the ESU officer, I can't see his back but I'm sure you replaced 'SWAT' with 'NYPD-ESU', right ;) A lot of ESU officers also seem to have 'POLICE' marked on the front of their bulletproof vests, as I noticed on a lot of nypd esu photo's on google. I'm not sure how the ESU looked like in 1978, but the movie 'Leon The Professional' had an ending shooting with quite a lot of ESU in it, so perhaps you can use that or another source. I'm pretty sure the movie is set in the late seventies, NYPD was using the dodge diplomats at that time. The police officers look very good, though I would make a small suggestion if you don't mind. In game there were the police officers with gray jackets and those with black jackets. The gray jackets were very common, the black jackets a lot less. You placed the blue sergeant logo on the ones that original had the gray jacket on. Its just a suggestion, but I would place the sergeant logo on the cop that had the black jacket on, since they were less common and I'm sure there are a lot less sergeants then officers in the NYPD :) The mod is making very good progress. Are you also planning on retexturing the M700? I'm pretty sure it can get a good looking NYPD livery. There already is an NYPD M700 made by someone else, which looks good and more realistic then the original one but still isn't completely what it should be. The Bell police helicopter in 2006 looks good imo, I don't think it needs any changes made, correct me if I'm wrong though. I don't know about the old chopper, I guess its good the way it is. And last but not least, are you going to do something with the SWAT van? It shows up in both era's which is kinda annoying :/ Perhaps change it from dark blue to black and replace SWAT with ESU or make it white with blue or something, I don't know. Just do your thing, you have defenitly proven that you are a good texture modder. I'm also glad you'll retexture the precint as you mentioned before, some NYPD badges would do the place good :) Thank you for your time reading this and more thanks for making this mod. A realistic '78 police force really added a nice touch to the game and again I wish you the best of luck with the rest of the mod :)

Yorpie Yes, I replaced the back of the SWAT officer and will get the ESU officer from 2006 as correct as I can get. The UV map restricts me from doing some things but I'll do the best I can. I've made all of the 2006 MOS's wear black jacet. The gray jacket you saw in the pic was already changed. Like I said, WIP photos. I took a little creative freedom and decided to go with it. I may change it later on but I probably won't. I changed one thing with the helicopter and that was the badge. It still had the original DPL "City Police" logo on it so I made it NYPD instead. What I'll do with the SWAT van is, I'll take some creative freedom again and make the van 2 colored. Light blue/white for both eras. And yeah, I've done that with the precinct. Also changed some of the paperwork with police reports. With the M700, yeah. Even added a few stickers on the back.

To be honest I stopped working on the mod, but I'm coming back around to it, hopefully in non texmod form. This one guy doing Driver modding tools is working on different things and I'm hoping to make texture replacements a native thing soon, or when the tool allows for it. You don't. You use Texmod to select the file, the .exe of the game and run it with the selected package.
