Please keep it coming. This system is owned by us. Not a foreign company who intend to profit. Thank you.

+tracker281 it was a government owned enterprise when I drove 1988-1994. It is hard to see much in the way of service reliability since then, but drivers tell me they are not real happy under foreign bosses. Most fear sacking for some little mistake. Anyway Routes 64 and 67 will be covered in coming months. Glad you like my efforts.

My good old dad had a job all set up with the Melbourne Tram company back in the early 70s. He was in his early 30s .He got everything organized and the whole family were going to Emigrate from Glasgow but my mum bottled out at the last minute as she didn't want to leave her mum ...Who kicked the bucket 4 years later .And that was that .Great wee video Very educational .Ps my dad would have been a great Aussie .Razor sharp wit and likes a "refreshment"....

Sometimes the best of plans don’t work out for one reason or another. Too bad a second attempt was not made at emigration. Anyway I’m pleased you enjoyed the video, and if you want to watch any more dealing with Melbourne trams, similar to this one, you will find them here. The driver is inside a glass cab which will decrease the sound a bit for them..

I'd be a bit nervous about stepping off the tram into the path of possible traffic like the cyclist, but I suppose that develops agility. Another good video.

+Bob Rogers Anybody with half a brain looks out the doorway to make sure all traffic is stopped, including bicycles, before stepping onto the roadway. The fact that it is illegal to pass a tram stop at a tram stop does not interest a a lot of motorists.

I suppose Darwin comes into play here. Those who fail to check the traffic before alighting don't live long enough to reproduce.

+Bob Rogers Same with people who can't stop to attend to text messages on their phones. Some places now will fine people crossing a road while texting.

As a Melburnian its second nature for me to look left before stepping off a tram but I can understand for visitors it will be confusing.

I recorded the return run last month and will post it in coming months. As St Kilda Rd has already been covered in the Tram 64 video, I did not do that again. See Playlists.
