A long requested feature now made a reality - introducing a "70's" traffic set into Chapter 7 end game free drive. Not to be taken literally as 80's vehicles are also included!

This game desperately needed a free-ride flashback mode. Some seventies-era missions hearkening back to the original installments in the series would've been nice additions too. Awesome job!

Absolutely! The Movie Challenges were a very late addition however, that came when the game was first delayed. So I can see they were already limited on time, making it understandable. :)

@@jeremygeorgia4943 In all honesty, the police and cabby variation is already good, with the former standing at 3 (5 if we count cutscene ASYM and challenge mode exclusive Dodge Monaco), and there's like three taxis. Obviously the challenge mode variation wasn't as big a problem since it's limited to just few missions.

@@jeremygeorgia4943 however you are allowed to get an almost exact automobile model and create their own companies. "Chancellor caliber/Imperical" instead of Chevrolet Impala although the first option is best so it isn't a verbatim first letter set up that sounds so similar. Like saying "Ceverolay Bellarin". However if they can garner a guarantee on Ford's name, surely they can afford to have a rich set of automobiles already best of their classes. Mercury (Marquise and Montcalm), Lincoln, Ford-LTD, Ford's personal models Country Squire and Galaxie/Fairmount/Falcon. They have the mustangs, so why no options for the rest of them. Unless they need to speak to the nonexistent Mercury encompany owner, or Lincolns imperative marshal. Really it's all Ford, so I'm not sure why they hadn't been able to do this. Getting Cadillac name would have fit the bill for the 1970's, It would have been Christmas morning to get a big Cadillac DeVille or surely an Eldorado. or a Buick Electra, Oldsmobile 98? AMC Ambassador? Chevrolet

They should all be provided in the .zip (make sure you have the latest version, in an outdated version the preload.lua was located inside one of the compatibility folders, I also just recently pushed an update that fixed an issue and added a new feature)

It's not made with that in mind at all, as that would require much a bigger effort. Something to consider for sure if I'll expand it. For now I would just play as regular or with other mods until you get to Chapter 7 end game, then install the mod.

I followed the instructions, but all that changed was the regular police cars were replaced with police Dodge Monacos. Could I ask for help and a link to the page on Nexus mods, because the version from Mod DB is wrong, and I couldn't find the page of this mod on Nexus?

In the current iteration, which has been not updated since forever, you have to be in the post epilogue (game complete) free roam to have it function correctly. If you are in the correct chapter and it's not working then it has been installed incorrectly.

@@Olanov Finally two days ago i checked everything, fixed and mod i sworking correctly. Something beatiful and you deserve a prize for that masterpiece. Reminds me of the 70's and 80's TV shows I used to watch as a kid I have question: Is this okay that fire engines, El Caminos or Vista Cruisers don't appear in traffic? I think that fire trucks were replaced with police interceptors, beacuse these ones don't show up on mini-map.

@@JKovalczyk Nothing is replaced, it just uses one of the limited movie challenge traffic pots as a base and combine it with a custom made "interesting vehicle" list the game uses to populate the city with random traffic, cycling thru the list. By normal, that list varies per zone, and chapter but I modified it to be classic or classic looking vehicles only.

The mod features 80's cars as well. To go back to the old traffic, you simply pull in your backups and delete other mod files.

Is it possible to mod ever-changing traffic car model spawn sequences (like in console versions (probably? I've never played the consoles))? The current monotonic traffic sequence makes the game look boring :( This amazing 70s traffic mod makes me think that said traffic spawn mode might be possible to implement.

Sadly not. I replace the unique "Interesting Vehicles" that spawn within the city in different zones with the exact same list of cars so it cycles them. It still use a basic traffic pattern underneath. Console just randomized which base pattern it picked after an update. Was not full.

Hmm... When i put every file, except "ScriptChapter1.fchunk", game's running but mod doesn't work. And when i put "ScriptChapter1.fchunk" in media folder game's running, but I can't start anything in the game, "enter" button doesn't work. Game is on chapter 7. I don't know whats wrong🤔🤔 Other mod, 70's Post Process, working great.

You also have made sure everything from Common/LuaScripts is correctly extracted in the directory? Also just to be specific, it needs to be Chapter 7 end game, so once you've beat the game.

I replaced the ScriptsLuaScripts and ScriptsChapter1 in the Media Folder but I'm confused what to do with the Common Folder? And please don't tell me that I should follow Read Me because the step 3 leaves more questions than answers. Perhaps a small step by step tutorial would be nice but I'm probably just an idiot.

I don't know how much simpler it can be put. You simply extract the folders, as explained, from my zip to the install directory.
