I love the 991.1 I'm on my 3rd, a GTS, which is amazing! The rattle you have with the stereo on, is most likely just a loose plastic cover on the door jam, where the wiring passes through. It's a pretty common issue on the 991. I removed the cover and lined the hole with a little insulating / gaffer tape (the cover should then hide the tape), then just refit the cover. Should be a 5 minute job. Good luck! 👍

Great video! One additional item that just happened to my 2013 C2 - the windshield washer tube broke, so no washer fluid makes it to the nozzles / windshield. It breaks at the point where it connects to the frunk lid “clip.” Mine is CPO w 79k miles - purchased about 18 months ago & ive put 10k miles on it. No other problems to report, and I love it!

Great video, you’ve covered most bases. I bought my 991.1 C4S a year ago now and I’ve done 20k miles in it. I’ve done tyres and brakes and a PDK service in that time, but the only whole lot came to less than brakes all round on my previous Audi RS6s, which were way more expensive to run. The 991 is going as yesterday I put a deposit on a pre registered 992 C4 GTS, so on to a new chapter, but it’s been a truly superb car and I’ve done loads of great road trips in it. Your videos were one of the things that helped me on my journey to owning my first Porsche (the 991.1) and have proved entertaining and very useful. By the way I put the Zunsport grilles over the radiators and they’ve been great at keeping out the crap from the radiator.

Thanks - useful video - some other things to check - one major and one minor happened to me. I've had a 2013 911.1 4S for 4.5 years - now up to 55k miles. I also failed to spot the A/C needed a recharge - neither my mobile A/C man who comes to the house and recharged it nor official Porsche dealer could find the leak, but it's only needed the one recharge so it is a really slow leak. Subsequently it has developed a really annoying A/C fault which, again, OPC cannot trace whereby A/C might not work in traffic jam on hot days - works fine when on the move....must be a cooling fan issue I think, and there is a strange noise coming from it - but they can't replicate it, so it has not been fixed... A niggle - engine stop/start wasn't working - took a while to figure out this was due to battery condition - eventually battery had enough charge and stop/start worked...a bit. SO bottom line is that it needed a new battery - but 4.5 yrs later I still haven't changed it basically because I can't be arsed. You can check your battery condition by watching the voltage indicator after you turn off the engine - you can see the voltage go down - it needs to be above about 12.5V for stop/start to work. Also, I've had a couple of minor faults with cooling system. THE BIG ONE - luckily under warranty - was the dynamic engine mounts which had to be replaced - about £5k I think. No idea how you can check these... Anyway, amazing car I cannot recommend highly enough.

I have to add that if the air condition is not working properly on a high mileage 991 awesome the condensers are shot by rocks and two leak the air condition fluid. that is then a €1000 job

Have you gotten the AC diagnosed? Where’s the leak coming from? Thanks! Also people should be aware of the PCM3.1 hard drive failure issue. $4k CAD for a new PCM from Porsche.

How you getting on with the Erisin head unit you put in your 981 I have just put one in mine still trying to work out how to change boot logo if you have any tips
