I’ve suggested for years make an overlapping figure 8 at Texas motor and call it the lasso 500, they don’t collide in the middle they go above and below the other direction and make the existing turns just absolutely max banking. They could put a structure above the figure 8 and get such cool camera angle shots

Definitely keep the ROVAL, or some road-course oval hybrid. Its quite an interesting inclusion in the schedule and no point in scrapping and reducing the diversity. NASCAR to me is interesting in many senses, but a main one is how much of a challenge, and how good the drivers have to be at all forms of motorsports in order to be competitive.

I watch it for the same reasons. The difficulty involved is staggering. I’d replace the roval with a road course,traditional or otherwise,but I want a second Charlotte mile and a half race. The kind where Kyle and Denny have your jaw hanging or your butt clenching up waiting for contact that might not come.

A Cup champion should demonstrate the ability to excel at all the types of tracks that the Cup Series races on. Also we should be careful how much stock we put into how much drivers like/dislike a track. Drivers and fans aren’t always looking for the same things in races/racetracks

How many road courses do you know of where most of the fans can see the whole course from their seating position??? That's right, none! I love this track and race. I was at the first one and plan to go again if it continues. This is one of my favorites.

I go to the Glenn every year now for 15 years and this year with the chase race and delayed until September the weather was perfect cool in the evenings and not 130% in the grandstands so I’m all for it🤞

I said this before and I'll say it again. it will and would devalue the prestige of the 600? Like there going up against Monaco and Indy 500 in the same day. having 2 ovals of the same track in which you call it "prestigious" don't seem to make it special anymore cause you will race the same track 2 times in the year which is called "prestigious" to make an event prestigious you got to make a one off, like the Chicago street race, thats what i call prestigious. Am all for events going for one date like what in F1 it makes all the events special in there own way and probably make for more people to watch cause there not watching the same race every time. The roval is a great track. preserve the prestige of the track it self , which could potentially rival the Daytona 500 viewer wise. Got to think wise here , the fans know it the sport know it you just have to keep this event special. Be like Bathurst 1000, le man, Indy 500, Monaco, etc etc etc got to make these prestigious. As a viewer this would actually help Nascar in the long run and adds more vierarity in the schedule and more special events, I know that Atlanta, Daytona, and talladega probably wont lose there 2 dates except for maybe atlanta. Trust me the 600 on the oval would be must watch TV, just keep it that way. Nascar drivers need challenges.

They do it with Darlington spring is the throwback weekend and the fall is the southern 500. The southern 500 is prestigious. They do it with the Daytona 500. Summer race is coke zero 400 and it is typically the cutoff now for playoffs but it used to be the 4th of July race

Hopefully in 2 years Daytona is back on the 4th of July slot. The cars need a bit more work, and the Roval needs to be brought back to the 1970s standard

I agree but I also think nascar ruins the prestige of races with the gimmick crap they implemented in the rules as well. The points system is a joke. The cautions at stage end ruins a lot of the strategy if the races. And more. I love nascar I’ll always watch but for me some of the things they do now takes away from what these races used to mean.

Went to a Roval race a few years ago - our group enjoyed it - you are able to see the entire course from the stands. We liked when they raced on the Daytona road course too. My brother and sister had been to the Daytona 500 but preferred the road course when we went to that race. My vote, keep the Roval.

NASCAR should do a separate docuseries titled, “Crew Chief” which follows only the crew chief of the teams, their personalities, decisions, and behind the scenes in their lives. Could be similar to what the NFL has done and bring in big numbers!

They will more than likely switch to the new road course next year. If you missed the news conference you need to see it. The road course is finished, it’s behind CMS. The rest of the facility is being built next. It’s going to be incredible!!!

I like the road races and the Roval in particular. You can see a lot of the track and the races have been great. If the drama get too crazy in the new hairpin, that's on the drivers not the track.

My only complain is changing track layout for a rcae during the playoffs, outside of them is not that much of an issue but doing so during the playoffs does not sit right with me. Also, they should give the team extra practice time to get familiar with any layout changes.

William Byron was paired with Darian Grubb his rookie season not Knaus. Byron was paired with Knaus in 2019, made round of 12 in 2019 playoffs and finally won in 2020. Knaus and Johnson's last year together was 2018.

Watkings Glen really should be a playoff opener race. At least in the first round. The roval should honestly go back to oval for the playoffs, as much as I love the roval. Maybe find another road course to replace it with like Road America, Long Beach, or some other established track/street track.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Roval going bye bye, but at the same time, I don't hate this configuration. The new layout gives them everything everyone's been wanting: heavy braking zones to encourage mistakes and allow passes, high speed rhythm sections that allow good drivers to stand out, the works. You can't ask much more from a road course specifically designed to test the Gen 7 car. If the drivers decide to be dinguses and clean each other out, you can't put that on the car. They've taken the tools they've been given and decided that everything is a hammer.

I like the Roval... They ought to have at least one hybrid track on the schedule. They will never run the Rolex 24 layout at Daytona. I think they need to keep it. But messing the track up is not the answer.

My comments on the Roval? Joke. That's about it. A single word sums it up here. I like many do not care for the road courses, but i wont beat that dead horse again here, that is a waste of my time. So is the Roval. Like a lot of weekends when its a road course, i vote with my feet as i have for the last few years and wont even watch them. I will catch the highlights later as watching it live is a joke. Yes there will be chaos, and with all the yellows that will occur i am sure, this isn't a race, just a boring parade with a boat load of commercials. I got better things to do with my time.

I like the roval just because it's very unique, in my opinion. It has always been a race I want to watch. The cars just don't work. The track just has 3 dive bomb opportunities. Can't forget that the backstretch chicane with have at least an altered brake zone with them carrying less speed onto the banking. But it's all cause the cars are so close together and so stiff. I almost would put money on someone to be spun on lap one in turn 7.

So the road courses have really grown on me over the last few years. BUT, I wish they didn't mess with the configuration of this track. It was fine the way it was. If you want to add a playoff race to the schedule then how about we bring back the best road course there is, Road America, I don't know what it is but to me that is the best road course there is. I was so sad to see the Cup series drop that track from their schedule. Also, PLEASE, for the love of God, give these Cup cars mor horsepower to go along with those wider tires and bigger brake package and lets separate the men from the boys!
