What you said about honking and driving annoyingly at student drivers is completely the opposite in my country Austria. People drive very carefully and considerately when they see an “L17” Sticker on the car (Student Driver Symbol). I can't imagine how annoying that must be to have that happen to you when you're already nervous. On the other hand, we also learn to drive manually and automatically and driving licenses cost a lot in this country and the training is very long and complicated, so I’m a bit jealous of you guys! Good luck to Claire! :)

Man that's so weird. In Saskatchewan Canada you have your learners license for 6months, all u do is drive an hour for your test. You have to provide your own vehicle and the instructor sits in the passenger. The test is a drive around town and they tell you where to turn you can get a maximum of 20 points. For example I did like 5 or 6 lazy shoulder checks and got out with 19/20

In America, are you allowed to drive a stick/manual shift if you take your drivers licensen with automatic shift? In Europe you are not allowed to drive manual if you took your license in an automatic or electric car. Most cars sold here is still with manual shift.
@HyphenDude9 ай бұрын
A lot of Americans don't/can't drive a manual. To answer your question, you can drive a manual if you took your driving test in an automatic. My parents only had automatic vehicles, so I used my mom's to take my test. My first car was a manual transmission. My current car is also a manual.

Tomorrow it will be a month since I got my license and while I didn’t drive a Tesla during my driver’s ed lessons, I only had one thing happened when I was in one of their cars and it was a woman riding on my bumper which made me nervous so I definitely agree that people need to be more understanding and give students more room to drive instead being shitty and riding on them. But other than that one thing, I had positive experience driving around others during my lessons. I had someone cheering me on while parallel parking which made me feel good.

@MarcSpctr9 ай бұрын
They are mostly people that hate change or think OLD WAYS is always the better ways. you will also find people saying those who use Rear Camera's to reverse their cars are noobs, actual pros use mirrors. Anyone driving automatic is a noob, manual driving is for pros. even in bikes they do that, if you get an advanced BMW adventure bike they will bash you saying you don't know what "ACTUAL" bike riding is unless you get a Harley Davidson (OLDER MODELS) that gives you hardship. Cause only through hardship you will learn stuff like an actual biker. Same people are stuck with their PETROL ENGINE is better mentality and cannot accept the change in technology. I do agree, for now, Petrol engines are still better, especially in countries where Charging Infrastructure is not yet ready and you need to travel to different city. But for use inside the city itself, there is nothing better than Electric vehicles. In Asia where 2-wheel scooties are popular as well for everyday use and 99% of the time are used to commute within a city, electric scooties are getting popular like anything. Saves Money, Saves maintainance headaches, don't need to refuel (just keep on charging overnight and it will last 2-3 days or maybe even a week), etc so yeah, these people are people who just cannot accept change. I get there are valid criticism to Tesla as well, making everything being controlled from screen instead of buttons to look minimalist, makes it harder to operate while driving. A few buttons and Knob won't hurt. edit: Remember there were people who opposed the laws that made wearing helmets mandatory and took out a rally against the laws. These are the same kind of people.

well its cool to see a tesla as a drivers ed car, but they dont realy lean to drive. you only do that in a stickshift car. and it also helps them in the long run, espeacly if they wanna travel and rent a car outside the us. because it might not be an automatic.

Claire almost seems a little shy! Seems she was just 11 or 12! What happened 😁When my son started driving I didn’t realize how much that scared me until I bought him his new truck, and it was a stick shift. His first time driving it he stalls it several times, we live on a hill so starting off isn’t easy as on a flat road. He had rode motorcycles since he was 6 so I was like you know how to use a clutch! He kept stalling out! After about 8 times I’m yelling at him without really realizing I’m yelling, well he starts crying, we pull over and that’s when I tell him how scared I am, I tell him I’m putting you in a 5000 pound truck and as much as I trust you it’s the other drivers that I’m worried sick over! I had control over the situation when you were the passenger! I said I was sorry and gave him a hug, and said let’s try again, go ahead and take off! He never stalled it again! Drove it like he had been driving for years. 😇

Can the weak module inside of the battery pack simply be unplugged and removed and then have the car function properly as before? Sure there would be reduced range, but if it gets ride of the trouble code and gets the car out of limp mode, it sounds like a good compromise, right?
