The gauntlet track was decommissioned during track alterations in 2013-14, and was completely removed in mid-2014.

There was a concert on at Festival Hall and some girls in the queue yelled out 'Hi train". As you do. lol.

It's waiting in 10A (No Platform) as it was most likely a dock from the Racecourse awaiting a path to FSS over the Northern viaduct. (CHL,BLY & CFD viaducts are carrying oncoming traffic). Thanks for your interest. Cheers!!!!

The tracks appear to be the same gauge? The first double slip switch is connected to the track that enters the gauntlet from the left in your video (Google earth) -37.807905, 144.940921 is the cross over between tracks. -37.811027, 144.945293 is the double slip switch, where the tracks do in fact have the same gauge.

We are on the broad gauge. The track that joins from the left at the double slip 0:20 is also broad gauge. The track that joins the gauntlet track 0:25 is standard gauge.

How come you went so fast onto another track cause in simulators the train jiggles a lot and the whole body moves. I'm sure real trains don't do that😝
