Do we need to hold the break while releasing the clutch in 1st gear until biting point, and thereafter shift the foot from break to accelerate so that the car doesn’t move backward up hill?

Some people drive like absolute morons. Look at that pickup driver driving parallely on the side of the road instead of getting in line. He knows that in heavy traffic, he can't go anywhere but still he insists on driving on the sidewalk and when the sidewalk is finished, he tries to push the cars in line away so that he can get in line. This is what autowallahs do in cities as well.
