I just changed my shifter into a short shifter had to remove the driveshaft out the way when I went to tighten down the reverse bolts I did that with a impact gun to make sure they were in there tight

What are the symptoms of a bad coupler?

Good question.. For me, I started hearing a knocking /whirring sound coming from my shifter area. The car also had slightly more vibration while driving. Complicated part to explain… 1st gear was bad around 4-5k or so rpm, 2nd gear was bad around 2-3k, 3rd gear was bad around 2k rpms (all under enough load). I’m guessing this is because the torque on the driveshaft was around the same at these rpms in those gears. But aye, I’m not mechanic so what would I know?😅 Hope this helps

Where’d you get the bumper pins ? And did you do a video on them ? I’m about to check, I’d like to know if they work because I have nasty panel gaps

Not gonna lie… Unless you don’t mind continually replacing the rubber band that connects the pins, I’d advise you to go a slightly different route. It’s very similar to install, but the quick release buttons might be a better way to go. amzn.to/3yyRvGp I did post a short on it, but it was a while ago.. Didn’t record a full video

Did you feel a clunk when you put your car into like first gear or reverse? I notice it when I let off throttle and get back on throttle too. It just feels like a slight amount of clunking in the cabin.

Nah, not really. But that could be something that you experience when it needs to be changed

@@pj_morrison I figured out my issue. It was the rear diff bushing that was blown. Replaced it with OEM and clunk went away.

@@chrissoto1657 glad you figured it out. Mine are sooo bad too. Any mild acceleration and I can feel the rear end twist some, turns my steering wheel a little too. That’s my next mod/maintenance item

@@chrissoto1657 once that diff bushings goes out, the rest will too. Invest the atq diff kit, and save your self some money. Never had an issue after that

I didn’t have to do any prying, it was blown to pieces. But I guess a pry bar could work
