I don't know about the X100 XKR, but the X150 XKs and XKRs are air-supplied via the sides of the bumper. So you get an additional air ramp just from driving, which you are not going to see on the dyno. I would check this before permanently removing the intake tubing, because you also get colder air in your supercharger...

I just picked up a 2006 XKR Victory Edition soft top from Arizona and I am loving it. But, I wonder if i need to adjust the air intake flow as it seems a bit sluggish and I get some spark knock after warm up. Great series. I would love to know more about the suspension rebuild as my XKR is due, at 104,000 miles, for some new bushings all around. I can’t wait for the finale’

Great stuff. You will need an intake and filter to drive it. Not really a true power figure there. Get the lads to put an efficient intake and filter on on it shut the bonnet and see what it's really got when it's on the road.

I doubt they gained 30hp just from removing the intake. Look at the curve on the dyno graph. The 420 run was all over the place...lumpy as a cobblestone street. Then the 450 run was smooth and progressive. They have done alot more work to the ignition and fuel maps to get that final number, not just rip the intake pipe off....I guarantee it.

I doubt the original transmission robs much power, they have a clutch pack on each geat and going off you're results of 427hp at the wheels that isn't far off the original which should be around 370hp at the wheels. With that smaller pulley that will likely bring you the same results with the standard transmission roughly.

Yeah, speaking of coming full circle. I ditched cable TV to avoid ads, then installed adblockers and now the creators are doing ads themselves! With the ad ratios of watching several shorter videos, it's much worse than cable TV ever dreamt to be (without adblocker). Yeah, I wondered the same. They probably just fed the ECU an air flow value to get the 450hp on video. This is just for show until they tidy and mount everything up. In this case I assume they will build a custom air intakt from the throttle body.

Yes. Twin watercooled intercoolers with separate radiator cooling system. They are the big aluminium castings on top of the engine with 'Supercharged' written on them (visible at 0:14 ). The Supercharger itself is in the middle.
