Very cool to see Swallows Racing develop suspension specifically to mimic the Jag ride quality, yet make them adjustable. Really curious how it will handle once they're done! My personal favourite is still the XJR though, because it looks so sinister.

This is turning into a Fernie channel, not the one with the lads that I was expecting when it started up. I’m sure Mike’s a nice guy, but not my style of presenter. It’s also quite heavy on the advertising, although many other car YTers are doing this as well……but doesn’t make it any better to watch. Can’t see me sticking with this channel if it stays like this for much longer……not trying to be offensive, just my opinion on where the channel has been going….

Sorry, Mike - that is not the nicest livery ever. Not even close IMO! And while I’m here I might as well suggest you read the comment from Pottier Kurt below. This is becoming a common refrain, and it definitely has some merit. I’m not sure if Drivetribe is having a difficult time driving revenue, but more and more of the shows now are taken up by advertising/sponsors. This one was a particular disappointment. You are at the risk losing lots of dedicated ‘Drivetribers.’ I hope your crew gets together and sorts this out soon.

2:20 I do like it a lot, and it's kinda funny because i was discussing livery ideas recently with someone, and i suggested that Red Bull could do their cars in my favorite flavor color, which would be the green from the Cactusfruit flavor. I made a quick Photoshop mockup of what i would think it might look like, and i could've sworn that it reminded me of something, and now i know what it reminded me of, haha, it's this livery. Although mine had a couple more magenta highlights, that is used on the Red Bull can (and is the color of the actual soda), and of course the Red Bull logo would add more yellow/orange coloring to it, but otherwise my concept was pretty much the same as this one. I would like to see Red Bull try out their rainbow of flavors over a season.

Just a small nitpick: That is not 2002 Jaguar R3. From how the car (especially around sidepods) is shaped I'd guess that it is a 1999 Stewart SF-3 in Jaguar colors that was used as a show car

I've watched six episodes. All I see is a constant barrage of product placement and plugs for sponsors, Hammonds restoration business and Swallows. If I wanted an overload of commercials, I'd return to watching cable. At least with regular advertising-based TV I can tell the difference between the program and the adverts. Sadly, Hammond doesn't seem terribly interested. Mostly he's barely involved with actually working on the cars and gives an occasional interview where he shows his advancing years talking about his past glories with UK Radio, Tope Gear, Grand Tour, etc.. Shockingly bad content aimed at making scads of money with as little trouble as possible for the producers...

Why has everybody started crying about every little thing. Adverts fair enough. Not seeing the special socket though. Come on. This isn't a pure KZbin channel like MCM they're ex TV people with TV sensibilities. You're getting free content nonetheless, unless like me you subscribe to premium. Seriously though. It's true what they say. "Give them an inch and they'll take a mile." Would you complain to management after receiving a free cheese or sausage sample? The world has become so entitled.

in case anyone is wondering, here in japan car shops don't gouge on maintenance. my 6 monthly oil change and tune up costs about $50. every 2 years we're required by law to get a more thorough inspection and anything worn or dodgy has to be repaired. minimum cost for this is about $1000 per, though for cars over 10 years old it's usually closer to the $2000 mark with parts needing to be replaced. people happily do regular maintenance because it's cheap and hassle-free, and there's no way to opt out of the thorough jobs that do cost a lot.
