Had I not known the Cummins was never an option in that truck I would have assumed it's factory. So clean, the winch is slick too. I love how well thought out this build is.

A dream vehicle of mine is an M1028 that looks mostly stock with maybe an early generation Duramax. Or even a Dodge M880 with a 12V Cummins. Anyway, this is a beautiful build top to bottom and I love the M81 Woodland seat covers!

I've ALWAYS wanted a 12V/stickshift CUCV Blazer, but regrettably lack the space/know-how (or time and money to learn) to build one myself. I can work on stuff, but a full drivetrain swap is more than I can handle. As soon as I find a shop whose work I trust, I'm going on the hunt for the right Blazer and donor truck and making it happen. Excellent build!

I have the same truck with a 5.3Ls. With the original TH400. It hauls the Mail!!! I build a new 6.0 LS with a mild cam and a 4l80e that will go in its place. I stole his idea of the upholstered seat and Love it. It would be cool to see how this truck drives with a Cummins. I have been following his build for a while and it is cool to see it here on YT.

I have a similar truck I'm trying to get going. It's a c30 wrecker going k30 with a lift. I have almost everything except the lift. I need clearance and capacity. I have 37s for it. It seems if I go with 6" up I'll still have to trim the fenders. 8" seems like too much lift. I'm leaning more to 4"-6" and fender trimming or reshaping. What would you guys do? It's a shame my fenders are SooOoOooo virgin, rust free, perfect, and pretty. 😩😁😂
@warpillow87754 жыл бұрын
X Mo personally I decided to go with 35s so I don’t have to cut haha, and If your doing a k conversation I’d look into a 52, 56 spring swap and shackle flip for the lift to get max performance from the suspension
@xmo5524 жыл бұрын
@@warpillow8775 Remember I have to carry a load and drive on the streets also. You don't think that setup may be too flexy?
@warpillow87754 жыл бұрын
X Mo for that application I’d still go with a shackle flip for the better ride but I wouldn’t worry about trying to stuff 52” springs up front, I’d definitely look into adding bags in the rear but the c30 rear springs should be more then enough, also for the shackle flip diy4x makes a really good kit for it which gives 4-6 inches of lift depending on what shackles ya go with using the stock springs

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I spied 6" springs with an zero rate and high steer swap? Very nice build, and roughly the same direction I have planned for my '86 m1028.
@WillometMotorFab4 жыл бұрын
It's a 6" spring with a shim to correct the caster. I think that's what looks like a zero rate.
