It is good to see the justice system work as it is designed. The case was open and shut. Kevin Monahan displayed depraved indifference to human life that night. As there is no way to bring Kaylin Gillis back, the best that can be done is to see Monahan go to prison for the remainder of his life. I hope this serves, in some small way, to help begin the healing for the Gillis family, Kaylin's friends, and the community as a whole. -This is more proof that fear-based ideologies lead to tragedies. May Kaylin now rest in peace.

Then, he tried lying his way out of it, by telling the police there wasn't anything going on at his house, maybe it was hunters in the woods. It is not about the 2'nd amendment. He legally owned the gun. You can't kill somebody just because they pulled in your driveway. Guilty.

If they put Mr. Monahan in gen-pop, I am sure his fellow inmates there will be 'eager to help him settle in'...watching these proceedings, I am so deeply sorry this happened. Also makes me think of all the times we've ever gotten lost out in the country, made a right instead of a left, wrong exit...whatever. Then backed into somebody's driveway, just to make a U turn, and head back to the main road. Wow. Just wow.
