People who gossip and constantly talk bad about others, it’s not a good quality to have. And when you look at how the media selectively maligns people in groups, you realize they’re like that kind of a person. You don’t want to hang around them. As an individual, wether you like it or not, you ought to be in (minimal) contact with the mainstream if you want to become something in this world. The key is to try to reach objectiveness as good as possible. I am not sure on what the best strategy would be for achieving that though.
