good asphalt guys puts the right size plywood on top of the well so nothing goes into the well when they drive over and many make the square box in boards so the edges are right but many use white strings where the driver can see when to stop or there is guy who walking next to the machine and tells how many centimeters or inches its to stop machine many use long planks at the side of the driveway to keep it straight and pack the edge while the planks line up on the lawn and asphalt,or what ever there is but many ask if you want a smooth transfer where you drive your truck so asphalt doesn’t crack and they roll it over in one roll, but everyone who makes asphalt job needs to know how to make it at he water go in the well so it doesn’t stay in one place, it’s not rocket science, but if you have no idea how those needs to do better,at you keep everything to yourself

So pug put the concrete for the pad to low and this is somehow the paving guys fault. He has to join up with the concrete and it was so low the water had to drain there. At the company I work for his address is blacklisted in the computer, we won’t do service calls to his place.

Plenty of people doing it, why do you think the plants still open. With an insulated heated bed and a tarp that actually covers the load you can keep blacktop in the right temp. Range for 3 hours or so at 45 or 50 degrees F. These guys wrote a check their ass couldn’t cash. They are mediocre at best and probably mostly just do jobs where they pave over existing blacktop or concrete where proper grading and prep aren’t near as crucial. Laying down blacktop on a virgin surface is tons harder than doing a top / maintenance coat over an existing paved surface.

I work construction forty years I would not have pay them until he sealed all the asphalt I would highly recommend that you go home depot and buy you ten or fifteen gallons of asphalt sealer and do it yourself it will seal everything so when it snows and melts and freezes it won't you get freeze cracks or chips I would do this every year I wish I seen yesterday movie I could have told about this sooner this guy notta gooda friend
