Dirt is my life. I've grown up with it since I was Four when I could actually help. My dad's been racing since '99 and will continue till I start in the Super Stocks. Sincerely, A small town Farmboy in Minnesota.

When I was 14-15 years old in Michigan, the guys in the ford garage were building a race car. This was the mid 60's. I have been hooked ever since. Auto City Speedway in Flint

Cool👍 were those guys building an asphalt car or dirt car? Just curious 🤔. Never heard of that track. I'm going to Google it soon and see if they are still up & running. 👍🏁 I have a Uncle & Aunt that live in Flint, Michigan! I forgot! Lol👍

I also spent a lot of time at Cordele Georgia. Great racing in southern Georgia.

Yeah waycross Speedway and golden iles are the best 2 tracks ive ever raced on. Both in track layout and in their staff/officials

Dirt tracking won't ever be like it was at Thunderbowl Speedway, this may or may not be a biased comment😜👍

Thanks for sharing an excellent video, l loved the old 57 Chevy photo. When I was a kid, it seemed like tri-five Chevys made up 95% of the stock cars in the state of Texas.

You guys need to enter this in the NMPA contest this year in one of the broadcast/video category.

Jerry, thanks so much! The director told us about this contest and that specific category. We will definitely refine the current cut of the documentary and consider it for submission!

Actually it'd take building a time machine to find the real tracks

As far as I'm concerned all racing went to shit when Winston stepped away...
@MosinMan762545 жыл бұрын
Scott Miller Hello my long lost relative lol. Winston has no effect on dirt track racing and NASCAR needs to stay the hell out of it too. They've already ruined their sport...

You clearly are a fucking moron that has no idea what you are talking about. Go stand in a corner and smack yourself repeatedly. Stupid ASS!

Sprint Cars are the ONLY Dirt Race Cars
@T1C455 жыл бұрын
That was the dumbest comment in you tube history. Congrats 👍👏
@christopherwinter20995 жыл бұрын
@@T1C45 this is the dumbest. This is coming from someone who actually is growing up in the Dirt track community and with someone who helped sell part, fuel, and tires at the track with my dad.

@@christopherwinter2099 I hear ya. My Father, my uncle's, and Myself have all raced in the past. I ran street stock after moving up from go-karts, my father ran latemodels, my uncle's ran hobby stocks/pure stocks. I was planning on staying in Open wheel after Karts (Sprints) but the cost was too much so I settled into the street stocks for 3 years. Why someone would say Sprints are the only dirt cars is beyond Me. Must not have the true racing blood in their veins cuz I love all classes of dirt track racing.
@christopherwinter20995 жыл бұрын
@@T1C45 and I can also say this Sprint Cars can't even be run at all tracks cause of the noise. All the Dirt tracks in Minnesota can't even run em from the noise as all the tracks are by big towns and that's just one reason why.
@T1C455 жыл бұрын
@@christopherwinter2099 Oh Wow! I did not know that. That's really ironic considering your neighboring states are all about Sprints, USAC, midgets, A & B mods, etc... I'm in Pennsylvania so most of the tracks in the North & Southwest of the state are in the sticks. Miles & Miles away from any residential areas. Now , Port Royal & Williamsgrove is a different story but they're up & running every year. My favorite track in Pennsylvania is Lernerville Speedway. Man, you should see the 410's run there!! Not sure if they lift in the turns, sure as hell doesn't sound like it! 😀 So what is your most popular class up there in Minnesota? Isn't Deer Creek up there? Never been there but looks like an Amazing facility 👍🏁
