PA used to have a sign just as you entered the state that indicated the different fines you would incur for each 10 MPH over the speed limit. I used to pick out what fine I thought I could afford and drive at that speed. I think a lot of people did the same and the signs came down...Maybe it wasn't the safest way to drive but I was much younger then and thought I knew everything!

Scott.... Just think about it, one day you will have someone writing a little note, just like they did for Lee Smith. "Scott Cosby was a traveling bus mechanic that dedicated many decades of service to keep the two-stroke diesel engines and classic buses on the road. At 70, Scott has finally retired but still tinkers around with buses at his son Tyler's shop. He isn't allowed to go on road trips with Tyler, says Kelly; the only road trip is when we go to Florida for the winter!"

I absolutely hate Lenny’s new exhaust system, myself I was digging the Screaming Jimmy sound it brought me back my days driving a truck and Detroit Diesels roamed the highways, by-ways, and the super slabs of this great land and sang out there tune thru mufflerless pipes. But Lenny is your bus so it’s your prerogative on what kind of exhaust system he has exhale through. Long live the 2 stroke diesel and there sweet sound.

I wish I could drive Lenny for a day. I just did a 500 mile (about 10 hours) one day trip in my BlueBird and it was hard as hell. I was in Florida traffic so that might have been a big part of it. It did not look that busy on your trip. As soft and cushy as my Wanderlodge is, I wonder how much harder it is on the driver than your silver side. Next long trip for me is no longer than 4 or 5 hours. We can dry camp in a second. Just take longer.

Korean War 03! Now that brings back many memories...driven a few of these in the 800 series that were delivered to PGL in '53. Not the best GM Coach ever, body lean in wind and in turns was bad, but easy to work on. Most of my 4103 miles were on ex Trailways '52 or '53 vintage or the lone 1950 4102. I did drive some on an ex-TNM&O '51 03 with silversides...but the crank broke going up Redlands grade, and that was that!
