I really really love this idea but I think to make the most of it, I dont think you should worry about being constantly on the move: it would be more enriching to see you stop in each place for a couple of days, try a couple of experiences and give a good alround overview of the places, both for your viewers and for the local economies too, who probably hope people will come and visit for several days at a time!!! Also then you can charge your car battery and your own batteries too 😋 so so so excited for all the content to come. Lots of love, take it easy and don't overwhelm yourselves xxx

Completely agree. This is going to be a slow and experiential time I hope!

I’m from South Australia and when I was 11, I traveled around the whole of Australia with my parents and my brother for the year, in a caravan. It was the most magical and amazing experience, and I’m really excited to take my kids around our amazing country one day! I’m so excited to see your adventures and where you explore over the coming months...I hope you have the most amazing experience! I love your vlogs so much 🤩

Don't you have the smartphone apps "PLUGSHARE" and "CHARGEFOX" and "EVIE Networks" and "RACQ"/"NRMA" to see where the non-Tesla FAST-CHARGERS are? You don't have to charge only at a Tesla SuperCharger for fast-charging. Check the Australian websites "JetCharge" and "Evse" to get the car cable adaptor to use on a Tesla
@TeslaStraya4 жыл бұрын
Woooooo Tesla road trip! Looking forward to following you guys. I saw your post about the type 2 cable, make sure you grab a type 2 to type 2 cable and possibly a type 1 to type 2 adaptor for some other stations you might find on PlugShare. Lastly, if you’re heading super rural, maybe invest in a juice booster 2, this will let you charge from standard 3 phase outlets you’ll find all over the place and all over plugshare.

When you make it to south East Queensland you need to go stay at the bunya Mountains. It is amazing there. You can feed wild birds from your hand right off your balcony and there are wallaby galore , as well as possums and a few sneaky bush turkeys among plenty of other wildlife. There are some amazing walking trails with really breath taking sights. It is amazing in the colder months and highly recommend a house that has a wood heater. Ive only stayed there with family so we always rent a huge house so cant recommend any smaller houses but they honestly all look amazing.

My suggestion, a one day eco tour from Noosa to Fraser Island via the coloured sands at Rainbow beach. A 12 day trip including swim in Lake McKenzie before a relaxing lunch. A great day and you’re supporting local tourist operators. Enjoy your travels. I feel jealous as I had planned to take my wife on a road trip from Sydney to QLD in late March that we cancelled over the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. Stay safe

Aww. I'm excited for this roadtrip! I spent 5 weeks traveling around Australia about 17 years ago. We started in Sydney, then went to Brisbane, Hervey Bay, Cairns, Alice Springs, Uluru/kings Canyon, and back to Sydney. Cairns and kings canyon were my favorites (even though sydney harbor will always be my happy place). I'm not at all outdoorsy... and scared of every venomous animal... but camping under the stars with wild horses and camels in the outback was magical. There is just so much to do around Cairns. So beautiful. Can't wait to see it all through you.

Zoe whilst you are correct in order to get the exemption you have to legally declare you meet the criteria to be allowed entry. Based only what they have told us in the vlogs I’m really curious to see which of the criteria they’ve met to be granted the exemption. Whilst the implementation of the system is flawed it is up to individuals and particularly those sharing their journey so publicly to ensure they are doing the right thing

I'm really interested to see how you're going to cross the border since QLD is still shut off from other states (until July 10th). The only way I know people can cross is with a border community pass (proof you live near the border) or by agreeing to self-quarantine in one place/residence for 2 weeks. Would be cool to see this in a vlog and how you overcome it
