Yuletide Wish In your bed on Christmas Eve night, With heads full of tinsel and firelight. The baubles that hang and seem to glow, All worries and fears now seem to go. Christmas shouldn’t cost a lot, Its about the loved ones and family we’ve got. Simple pleasures, not hard to see, Like singing carols by the tree. Soaking up the Yule tide fun, Santa Clause and reindeer that run. An Icing sugar coating of snow, With freezing cold hands and faces that glow. Scrapings of pudding in the dish, All contribute to my yuletide wish. And to finish the day, there’s nothing wrong, With a tipple of something strong. As church rings its pleasing chimes, I wish you all, the best of times. So raise a glass and be of good cheer, Let’s hope and pray for a brave New Year. Neil Hudson © 2012-12-16
