U right. NAMIBIA PAID THE CONTRACTOR PER CONTRACT. INFACT CONTRACTOR WAS NORTH KOREAN COMPANY NOT CHINESE. IT WAS MANSUDAE OVERSEAS CORPORATION OF NORTH KOREA. ITS SAME COMPANY THAT BUILT INDEPENDENCE MEMORIAL MESEUM. When people say its Chinese who built the state house or Chinese built road, many people think it's donated with Chinese money but not. It simply says the contractor was a CHINESE. ALSO VERY IGNORANT TOUR GUIDE OR PROBABLY HE DIDN'T GO TO SCHOOL! HE IS TELLING THE TOURISTS THAT IF THE MONEY THAT WAS USED TO BUILT STATE HOUSE IS SHARED BY NAMIBIANS EACH ONE WAS GOING TO BE A MILLIONAIRE??? SHUUUUU! What a shame coz even a building of 2 billion rand can only give 2000 people a million each.

@@yeromeboois9617 I did not expect so many comments on this video. The local guide's commentary seems to have struck a nerve! His comment that the cost of the building would have made "every Namibian a millionaire in Namibian Dollars" is clearly wrong: the building was finished in 2008, the population was about 2M people, GDP was US$8.6B, and the exchange rate was roughly 8 NAD = 1 USD. So, if his claim was correct, each Namibian could have received US$125K, for a total of US$250B, or 29 times the 2008 total GDP! Wikipedia claims the total cost was US$400M.

The editor of video clip is not truthful and knowledgeable about the subject he is discussing with his audience. The Namibia statehouse was build by the Korean private company called M.O.P under 1 billion Namibia Dollars.
