Africans, let’s support African Tourism. Instead of only going to Maldives visit Zanzibar , Tanzania. Instead of only going to Dubai visit Namibia. Visit islands of Seychelles, Mauritius, and Cape Verde. Africa is so diverse with the most beautiful landscapes in the world. We have mountains 🏔 , deserts, pyramids , tropical islands 🏝. The media will never show you these things because they don’t want us to explore Africa and realize how much our continent is worth.

Hello Mr. Maya, it was this video which spurred me to go to Namibia for 30 days in June of 2022 as a tourist. I am American. What a marvelous country Namibia is! I had a wonderful time there seeing the sights which you feature in this video. I also went to the hinterlands of Namibia and saw an abundance of wildlife, and exquisitely beautiful mountains, canyons, and deserts. Everywhere I went Namibians were hospitable and welcoming. All of the cities and towns are so clean. No litter anywhere. I cannot recommend Namibia enough to anyone wanting to go to an unspoiled, beautiful place.

Correction. In 2019 we had about 1,6 million tourist, which is so far the highest we ever had. For 2020 Namibia was predicted to be the most visited country in Africa. Well, but then came corona. Ministry of Environment and Tourism is doing just about enough. This is because they mostly put effort of advertisement mostly to Europe, with Germany and then England toping. Unfortunately however, most tourists destinations aren't tailored for the local people. They are way to expensive. Alright to be honest government does give local Namibians lower rates on Government owned destinations but for a many people, it is yet still too expensive. Private lodges, one can almost forget about them, for the majority Namibian people. There, tourists seeking Safary advanture can pay up to N$70 000, for a 2 week trip. So basically we do need to improve the industry, which is mostly run by whites, to become more local and African countries friendly. Having said this and while I do not have the latest figures Angolans have always been the highest visiting numbers to Namibia. The rest of countries are as follows: South Africa, Zambia, Germany, Zimbabwe, Botswana, France, United Kingdom, United States and the Netherlands. Latest rising editions are the Nordic countries then Spain and Italy. Angolans mostly come for medical services and educational purposes. So I say, if it was my choice, yes, please bring us the rest of Africa, to our beautiful country.

In Windhoek, the capital, homophobia is really not a big thing. You will always get those that stare at you and also do with mix race couples but it ends there, a simple stare and internal judgement by those narrow minded people, and life goes on. The smaller towns....homosexuality will be tolerated but I wouldn't suggest going into a pub and making a public display of it. Alcohol and cultural differences in opinion creates stupidity. So in short, being homosexual will not be a problem if you can keep it respectable when in public, same as heterosexual relationships. Hope that helps. Now go and explore the beauty of Namibia in which it was never mentioned of having the big 5 animals at Etosha pan up in the North.

I visited Namibia with my wife back in December 2018, I must say I had made sure that I do not set the bar too high in terms of expectations, but WOW!!! My jaws dropped as soon as we finished with the winding roads only to be introduced to a beautiful city of Windhoek, unlike most cities where you have a view far before you enter, Windhoek was like a hidden treasure right in the valley between mountains coming in. Walvis Bay and Swakop were just on another level. I wouldnt mind making it our yearly holiday destination.
