Driving Bognor Regis to Chichester (and back) in under 25 minutes.

There was a marriage on television today which most people wanted to watch; so I took the opportunity to go shopping with very light traffic while everyone was at home glued to their tellies. The journey was done in record time without pushing it at all.

Shame you didn't pay attention to the sign on the approach to the Bognor Bridge roundabout where it clearly states the left lane, which you decided to use, is for Portsmouth and the right lane is for Chichester and Worthing!

Once a courier... always a courier. ;-) AIUI You can go straight on at a roundabout from either lane so long as there are no arrows painted on the carriageway itself or circular traffic direction signs, neither of which are present at this location.

Ive justed passed my test and struggling with bognor rd roundabout if I wanted to go from bognor to Chichester the 3rd exit ahead can I be in either lane ?

​@tanith101yabbyjabby4 From Bognor to Chichester, straight/3rd exit, you must use the right lane (unlike what this video shows). The road signage and carriageway signage (albeit hard to see given how much traffic there usually is!) both clearly state Chichester A259 right lane only. So many people use the left lane, so it can be very confusing. It might help to have a look at Google Maps streetview so you can walk yourself through it. 😊
