Love the work and the cleanup of the downtown. The light rail, the new street surfaces and fixtures. Plus that grand old architecture that always has been Even the tunnel bus is back. . Post Pandemic and starting to get a whole new vibe it feels like. . Good work

You have to remember that this city was once the 4th largest city in the US and on par with chicago

@@MY_ine It is a pretty poor in general, since everyone moved to the suburbs after the rioting. But it has turn around dramatically. If you would have been there in 1995 you would have collapsed on your ass. It was truly scary and rundown. The comeback is here, I thing it got into some momentum, and if people keep fleeing the coastal cities this should be Detroit's opportunity to get new residents. The city is still in bad shape, but they focused to start into turning the downtown area first and nearby neighborhoods. Detroit has a lot of abandon hoods, but it also has some beautiful neighborhoods that are stable with grand architecture any city would kill to have. Lets go Detroit!!!

Michigan Ave. from Dearborn is my favorite route into Downtown Detroit. It's the neatest looking. Has all the vibes. I love Corktown. ❤️

its a cool avenue. quite the collection of 'businesses' though. imagine showing someone from the 1923 a video of detroit now and seeing the look on their face

I would love to see Michigan Ave beautified. It is very wide and they could turn it into a green boulevard. Turning the turning lane in the middle into grass, flower beds and big leafy trees. It would be a perfect Ave to extend the streetcar all the way to Michigan Central Station. 4 to 7 story building lining the lots adjacent to the avenue and then the side streets focused on townhomes or smaller building a la city modern. What do you guys think?

i have watched a few of the videos about people showing all the closed retail shops around downtown san francisco. i would have never thought that was possible when i was visiting pre-2020
