It would have been better if before Charles took a bite of his ice cream, Lawrie appeared and took the ice cream saying, "Is that for me".

According to the DVLA that Weatherill digger was manufactured in 1972, first registered in 1983 and last registered in 1987! Great video by the way!

That ruston bucyrus clampshell excavator is so noice. Old cable excavators are really great pieces of engineering.

Great video, the old international Drott BTD 6 loader changed earth moving in this country when introduced in 1958 for good, they were made under licence in Rubery Owen , Warrington until 1970s later becoming the B100 together with the Barber Greene range on pavers, Drott was an American company and made the loader assemblies, I produced a model of these machines ( 19RB ) and Benford dumper + cement mixer for Langley models some years ago...

Poor Charles. Maybe he needs to invest in adult sized baby reigns to stop Lawrie running away to play. We have a fun tracked vehicle at work made by Toro called a Dingo. Its a small tracked front loader which many attachments can be fitted to it.

Hi Sam. I have to add that we call it a JCB, because it was JCB (joseph Bamford) who invented it. Then "you guys" made similar machines presumably under license, and had to call them back hoes, because well they weren't actually jcb.

You're the first person in over 33 years I've heard use the word Drot. When I left school I worked in a classic car garage with a man about my age as I am now who said he worked on things called Drots. Being the days before the internet I thought he was taking the p but because I respected him I never pulled him about it, I was wrong.......sorry Alan (I doubt he'll still be with us though)
