on your hydraulic pressure, most often it isn't my attachment, it is on the tractor side. When the tractor is off, just toggle the joystick or third function and it will relieve the pressure on the tractor side. If it is on the implement side, I have had to take the connector and push it against something flat and solid to try to push in the little button in the middle to let pressure off. at least on the style of connector I have.

I know this is easier said than done, but if you can leave your quick detach couplings stored in the shade, that helps with pressure build up. Also, some machines like, Kubota, you press them in before disconnecting to relieve pressure. You probably already know this but I’m leaving my comment anyway.

I bought a special clamp to connect the skid steer couplings. Uses an Irwin quick grip clamp. MY ADVICE IS DON’T. I screwed up so many fittings using that thing and those fittings are expensive. It destroys the o rings inside. Better to crack it with a pair of wrenches. I learned the hard way.

Evan one would think before you unhook the driver, turn tractor engine off. If your aux. Is a electrical solenoid may have to leave accessory switch on? Actuate post driver without engine running should relieve pressure. Now do the same for the tractor before trying to hook back up should relieve tractor hydraulic s making much easier to hook hoses up! I've hade the same problem with my bobcat. Try it I think will help relieving both sides before hook up.

I saw in the comments about releasing hydraulic pressure, and sending it back to the tank, before disconnecting implement, no idea how that works...after a quick search online, I saw the square screw on fitting without the third function valve, and looks like you can screw one on, inline between hydraulic hose and quick disconnect, for an implement, remove one of the screw in plugs and screw in a ring pull pressure relief valve. I think that would work too, instead of relieving pressure from line before disconnecting implement...but being on the outside looking in on how all that works, I'm sure others know better than I do. Saw your frustration trying to hook up quick disconnect, and you said it happens every time, when hooking up implements, so just a thought on making the hook up possibly easier.
