I love Spark. Currently doing spark in North Louisiana. I make between $1200-$1500 weekly working 6 days. It's all perks to it. My favorite is being able to set my own schedule. I wanted to get away from over the road trucking but I wanted something similar to trucking like being my own boss and working off to myself. Spark fits me perfect. I'm very happy I now get to go to the gym every morning and I'm home every night sleeping my own bed not in the back of a semi truck

Your experience with Spark is far different than mine. I just go to the local grocery only neighborhood Walmart 1.5 miles from my house. I receive offers when I'm home. Did four deliveries today, two shop and deliver, two curbside pickup for 32.09, 34.95, 22.95, 17.30. 31 total miles driven less than 3 hours of time spent waiting at curbside / shopping / delivering. Pretty typical day. For me it is absolutely the best time to $$$.

This is what it is like for me also. I did one delivery today for a shop and deliver, 40 items, 13 miles for $68. I make most of my money with shop and deliver for $30 and up. Very happy with spark in my area.

I agree. And the shops he took I would never take. Apparel shops are an instant pass unless the tip is good and it’s not multiple items. The shops he took too were also low to no tip based on the pay. Spark is certainly not a filler app for me. It’s my main app, and I fill the dead time in with food delivery or shipt/IC.

There times Walmart cancels a high paying order right before I arrive to pick up an order. And Walmart refuses to pay me a dime despite already wasting 10+ mins driving. Gone back a forth like 5 times with Walmart support in email form about this and they refuse to pay me because of a glitch. And there also been times they paid me under $3 when an order gets canceled after waiting 20 mins at the store. And a majority of the offers pay dog crap without tipping. And they allow customers to remove tip for any reason within 24 hours. BS. Yes, there are times nothing goes wrong but when it does it is very stressful. As Walmart refuses to pay us for our time.

In my market curbside offers go out at 20-40 after, and pick up is usually 45 after the hour (I noticed yours was). So if you want offers stay close to the store(s) then. If you multi-app Spark can mess you up, especially if you're close to a Walmart. Many times they post the arrival times 15 or 20 minutes out, and they absolutely will not let you arrive early. Not only do you lose the time up front, but if they are late with the order you lose more time. Last week I burned 35 minutes this way. A notice came through on the app that they were going to compensate me for the long wait time, and I am still trying to figure out how much it is...the earnings section of the app is another story....

Shop and deliver orders are the way to go with spark. The wait times once you get to the stores for curbside pick up can sometimes be extremely long. The 10+ stop deliveries are a colossal waste of time. The pay looks nice on paper but you will be taken way out of your zone. A lot of comments for dollar per mile and dollar per hour kill me. Here's what I do: How many hours are you working per day and how much are you making for the entire day? Then, subtract the amount for Gas and you can budget accordingly for Maintenance and Repairs. In my area, there are 2 primary Walmarts. One Walmart has a ton of orders, but a low staff means an average wait time of 2 hours per order (after you've accepted it as a driver). So, that Walmart is ignored, whereas the 2nd, main Walmart rarely gets orders but every single order is ready to go at the designated pick up time. So, sometimes, I will go 1-3 hours with no orders at all while still being "available" in the app with Sparking turned on. I've realized that it's smarter to walk around in the Walmart to get my steps in during this wait time and it helps keep my sanity intact. But if you took an $8 order for 12 miles round trip with a gas mileage of 22 MPG City on $3/gallon of Regular gas, then you're making money for that hour, rather than making no money for that hour by receiving no orders. I'm averaging $100/day (after gas) during this slow season and did $120-$160/day (after gas) in Q4 2023. I work weekends only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and work from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Here's the thing: Each Walmart Spark is run by a different manager for that department. Each manager is the one that dictates whether you receive ASAP Curbside, ASAP/Express Shopping and Deliver, or Regular Versions of Each. In this video, your Walmart Department Manager for that particular store wanted you to receive Regular Shopping and Delivery Orders. This is smart if they have Low Staff available that are not able to handle the 'picks' as they call them ('pickers' are the ones doing the shopping with multiple orders on a large cart in the store). What you seemed to miss in this video was a couple of the 'sweet spots' orders that you can take. 1) Yes. I would take the 15-20 Item Trips in a heartbeat! Why? They're all package deliveries! You're practically the mail man!! Seriously! Think about it. Shipping a package costs $4.13 via USPS Ground Advantage for a 1 oz Package! Instead, Walmart pays you $2 for a 1 Oz package to be delivered! So, Walmart saves money. Now, the downside is that these orders do not allow Tips; however, I do receive cash, in-person tips approximately 5% of the time with these package deliveries. The other downside is the packages vary in weight, size, amount, and have to be sorted by Scan labels to ensure faster delivery. In addition, GPS Screw ups are quite common and your job is more difficult because the Postal Worker only has to take the package to the Mailbox which is at the end of the road - you, on the other hand, have to deliver directly to the customer's house, which usually does not have House Numbers on their House or a Post on their driveway/front porch. 2) You missed the small grocery orders that are 20-50 items and you seem to misunderstand the bags ratio and bags being counted as an item. So, there's Items, Quantity, and Bags. In a 20 item order, there may be 50 Quantity. 20 of the 50 Quantity are most likely Bags. When you click the actual section that details this, it shows you a break down of each item PRIOR to accepting the order!!! You will actually see: "Bags (18), 2 Liter Mountain Dew (3), 12-Pack of 16.9 Fl Oz Dr. Pepper (1)" etc. These particular orders are sweet spots because you can get multiple items of the same item. So, grabbing (6) 2-Liter Bottles of the same brand and type on the same Aisle will be significantly faster than grabbing 6 items on 6 different aisles! 3) Express Shopping and Delivery and ASAP Curbside Pickups have a tendency to pay better than the Regular Deliveries. For Regular Deliveries, the customer doesn't mind waiting, but YOU DO! Why? Because you make less per hour! So, you can get to Shop and/or Pickup faster and get paid MORE money!? That's a win-win! In addition, sometimes, I get an in-person cash tip from these deliveries if I deliver within 30 min to 1 hour of the initial acceptance of the delivery! They are genuinely happy that you sped up your shopping and took care of them.

Drivers need to take into account when accepting a delivery the mileage they are going to drive for that one delivery or bundles of deliveries add Sparks loves to bundle a whole bunch of deliveries together. They have to keep in mind that if they are driving 20 miles for a bundle of deliveries that pays $25 for example for the entire bundle of deliveries, the true mileage is going to be 40 me because you have to take into account that you have to come back to get another one. That puts you at about 60 cents a mile that will have to cover your gas and your wear and tear on your vehicle. Most of the time is better to take a delivery that only pays $10 but you only drive three or four miles away which would make it a 6 or 8 Mile round trip. You spend less gas so in the long run you make more money

Today I accepted an order for $18.59 for 7.9 miles. I thought it was from the Walmart I just delivered for, like you did. Little did I know the Walmart was 17 miles away. I couldn't find how to decline after I accepted. Bummer

@@joy2come119 when an offer pops up it will have the store number, amount of miles, minutes it will take, and pay amount. You can also open it up and it will show the customers address but if it’s not a round robin, somebody might beat you to it while you do all of that. I memorized the store numbers, so when it pops up I know if it’s a location I want.

We don’t have specific bags for spark in MW Florida yet. And the batched orders are in bags like Amazon has with a sticker on it so it’s super easy if the dollar per mile is good

I make trash in middle tennessee. There are days I'll be on for 9 hours and only receive 6 or 7 deliveries. Maybe 60$ per day. It's horrid, and there are 2 walmarts and a sams club in my area and a few other places that use spark delivery. On top of that, the pay rate per job is worse on daily payout versus weekly all jobs are no more than 12-14 or less on daily pay where weekly is like 14 - 30 depending.

Try driving around to different zones and try different stores. Also early in the morning or after 5pm seems to help. And keep your app in the trips section and watch the screen, because by the time it notifies you, someone else will take the order.

do you uys see lets say around 6 hispanic drivers that are taking over 3 orders an hour, or you see them come back within 20 mins and park in the pickup stall and wait for 30 to 40 mins to grab the next order? and you don't see an order for more than 3 hours. but you see the same drivers getting over 3 orders within an hour? if you see those drivers getting more offers then you, and if they are making over $1000 a week, that means that they have an app that grabs all the great offers. i've seen it in my area. i took a month vacation, when i came back i saw 6 or so new drivers. they all had 2 cell phones, and they where the only ones going in and out of walmart with offers. i used to deliver to regular walmart customers that tip great and didn't drive far either. i have not seen a single delivery from those customers since i came back from vacation. i am left with offers that are under $10 and a lot of miles. the only time i get good offers is when those drivers are not there.
