Driving from California to New Jersey Part 1 - and review of Days Inn Oklahoma City

Today is my 2nd day on the road but my first day filming. Previously my sister and I had been driving in tandem from Los Angeles to our respective homes. Our first night we made it to New Mexico. This video will pick up from there. We are going from New Mexico through Texas to Oklahoma City. My sister continued on past there, but I called it a night, and stayed at the Day's inn in Oklahoma City. It was a good hotel that met all of my needs for the night. Here is part of my drive and my review of the hotel. Also ever wonder what happens to a bag of chips if you drive through high altitudes. It's amusing.

#RoadTrip Yesterday, after many centuries, i was watching the Ironic video by Alanis Morisette ( i am about a day year old when i realized that in her video, it starts with her at the gas station holding a coffee and it ends with her running out of gas ) you mentioned movies some time ago and how nostalgic and timeless many of them are and i think the same about some music videos (especially Alanis' Ironic vid). What was your playlist like on the road? and that Beatles book @3:33 is pretty indicative of how musical your uncle was (along with the instruments on the passengers seat) -- Im truly sorry that you are experiencing such pain -- not sure what that ride from coast to coast is like but you mustve encountered some scenic and undisturbed miles, perfect for jamming to some music and singing out loud 🎹🎶🎵🎼

I totally agree there are nostalgic and timeless tunes! My road trip playlist was a mix of The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Queen, G'n'R, The Beatles, Aerosmith, David Bowie, the Ramones and I'm sure there were some others in the mix as well. I've very much in a musical time warp from the 60's - 90's

Reply: Your playlist is a vibe! When i use to go clubbing, the 80's room was where you could find me (and this was early 2000's) -- Madonna, Prince, Michael, Abba, Cindy, The Whispers, DeBarge, Whitney, Everything but the Girl and a plethora of others i cant name cause i had (and continue to have, although i am breaking out of it) the horrible habit of not knowing who the artist were -- whose songs i was bumping and listening to on the highest volume. (im guilty of saying things like "oh wow -- thats who sings that sing" Im Shamed (i tend to stay in those periods of time as well and its very interesting that you say 60's to 90's because when i listen to songs from those times its easy for me to forget how long ago they were produced. They have such a freshness to them -- timeless they call it -- also classic (and yes, i am terrible at naming the era they were born in too)) 🤣

I still find myself hearing songs and not realizing who sings them. But we live in the future with aps like shazam, so that helps lol
