This incredible journey shows how massive the State of New York is. The drive started in New York City; went through parts of New Jersey & Pennsylvania; came back into New York State (passing through the cities of Buffalo & Niagara Falls) before crossing into Canada. In the 50 years I lived in New York City, I spent just a few hours north of NYC or Westchester (apart from many trips to other states). My loss. A reminder that NYC is an extremely small part (by size) of a huge & beautiful state. Thanks AK! Get well soon.

Toronto is amazing. It has everything you could ever want. If you don't like the hustle bustle of a big city and if you are a str8up racist, then you prob won't like it here. Weather is great, food is unbelievable and the culture is next level. Yeah it's expensive and the politics suck but where doesn't it? I wouldn't wanna live anywhere else(in canada). I love diversity. The city is alive and tons and tons of things to do. This city has alot to offer.

@stephenstuckey I don't think you have lived in Toronto, 3000 dollars a month for a 1 bedroom apartment and with the insane prices the salary is low asf, it's like 60K a month or 80K idk. There's no diversity. Almost all of Toronto is Indian now. Diversity is cool ig but these low skilled international students studying fraud education and getting scammed is ruining the city. The United States busiest is averages 285,000 which is in LA and Mexico's is 100,000

It's too late now but I would recommend detouring onto Thorold Stone Road out of Niagara Falls and going west. This will take you to the Thorold Tunnel, the only highway tunnel I'm aware of in Canada. It's our Lincoln Tunnel but much shorter in length. Coming out of the tunnel takes you onto highway 58 and then you can take highway 406 north and reconnect with the QEW.

If one took either train or plane to Toronto, the waiting would be the same, but not sitting in a car. And according to my minimal research, driving is not really cheap. I took Amtrak from Buffalo to Union Station once. Security was done in Buffalo. To me driving is maybe the worst choice for making this trip. I once crossed from Washington state to BC. The border security did my crossing in maybe 20 minutes while I sat inside. My brother always used Sumas instead of Blaine just because the crossing was more efficient.
