That's lovely, reminded me of driving to my parent's place with my son in the back singing Christmas songs at the top of his voice!

Very relaxing piece of music .. Definitely one of the better Christmas songs I've heard .. Chris's raspy but smooth delivery gives this a classy, authentic feel, and it's just so easy to listen to .. Nice selection and reaction, Sue.

This is my first listen, the word that comes to mind is. WOW. Loved the tune, groove and instrumentation. I'll have to introduce this song to my family, great choice Sue. When it comes to Christmas, Elvis for the most part is the choice in our household, it would be good to hear something new.

@JeromeDukes Hey Jason, yes, introduce it to your family. It is a brilliant song. I live Elvis too, in fact you may hear some on the channel in the next couple of days but great to switch it up or at least add it to the repertoire 🤩🩵

@@playitagainsue I just told my sister about the song and she loved it. Interesting, my post on your Wham uploaded from a few days ago, either got deleted or I forgot to press the button to post it. I wanted to mention that netflix has a documentary about the song Last Christmas by Wham. Being the Christmas season, I thought you might be interested in watching it.

Chris had just been dropped by his record label and he was stuck at Abbey Road Studios with no way home. He didn't have enough money (quid) for a train ticket back home to Middlesborough. His wife Joan drove down to London to pick him up in their "beat-up" Mini. He wrote the song in just ten minutes while stuck in traffic. Top to Toe in tailbacks means stuck in traffic speaking in British. This song turned his career around. Driving home for Christmas has to be the best contemporary Christmas song because everybody can relate to it.

Totally unexpected because of all the christmas songs I always thought of this as hit only in UK Its used on a TV commercial in Ireland showing immigrant son arriving home for christmas to home cooked meal and Kerrygold butter Anyway love this song as I have lived it many times Chris is an amazing guitar , check out Road to Hell ( as Gavin pointed out ) or Working on it His first big hit I remember was called Josephine All great songs Oh and I love his accent ! He is from North of England although adopted by the Irish and definitely an Honorary Irish Man

@jessem470 Hi Jesse, I can see this being used as a touching ad. I don't know how popular his original version was here in Canada but I heard it many times but we hear alternative versions of it all the time now...great song 🤗💙
