+Declan White during an official rally cars are inspected and giving a temporary Mot and can only circulate from stage to stage at the legal speed limit. After the rally is complete the cars have there temp permits removed . If your thinking of registering a full spec rally car at local DMV good luck , these cars are no way road legal . I know this from personal experience.
@brockbain86567 жыл бұрын
No you do not jean... Here in Australia we can acquire rally registration. this is extremely cheap but is also rather limiting. you can drive the vehicle on the road within a radius of the registered address of the vehicle, between certain times, if you are to go outside of said radius or outside of said times, you must contact either RMS to check and obtain allowance to do so, requiring a reason being either a car show of which you are to participate in, relocation of the car from one place to another or competing/transporting in a rally. Also these cars are road legal under rally registration, they are exempt from all road rules so long as they are given a certification by an approved engineer after inspection.
@geluix697 жыл бұрын
+Declan White nope, there only legal between stages and for a short period. Like I said if you don't believe me go to your local DMV with a full spec rally race car and they'll just laugh and say ..... Eh No . At least in North America anyway.

@@stefan_4508 It's sequential manual transmission. Clutch has to be used when you start moving or lock the wheels when braking. The paddle shifter in rally cars control fully mechanic gear lever so it's kinda like assisted manual. On the other hand ferrari for example uses dct automatic transmission. In automatic cars the clutch is fully automated so you can't control it. Paddle shifter/gear lever in dct just send signals to the computer to change gears so it's like a semi-automatic.
