Driving in Saugerties NY | Exit 20

Today we visited Saugerties NY, which is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States. The Village of Saugerties is located in the northeastern region of Ulster County and is part of the Town of Saugerties. Catskill Park contains a portion of the town. Its population at the 2010 census was 19,482 and went down after 10 years as in 2020 it had an estimated population of 19,002 inhabitants.

I love Saugerties ! And drive almost an hour a couple of times per week just to journal at The Inquiring Minds bookstore ☺ They have the best chai there ... afterwards just walk around town for an hour. The Hudson Valley is beautiful ... so happy & proud to live around here

I have driven through Saugerties occasionally in the late '60's, early '70's, and was never particularly interested. Now I wonder why. It somehow seems more vibrant and interestin' than I remember. Different perspective maybe. I had never ventured down Ferry St. by the waterfront, that was a whole new viewpoint for me. Thanks for showin' this.

I lived in both Kingston and Saugerties a few years ago. They're great towns with a lot to do and see in town and in the surrounding areas. Overall, Ulster County has a lot of great towns including Woodstock and New Paltz.

I used to live here in Saugerties from the late 90s to 2005. My grandma and cousins lived here most of their lives. I moved down south in 05 never looked back. I don't miss it. Especially the winters.

If you’re looking for a “city,” you might be depressed. This rather is a small, cute & charming Hudson Valley town. It’s a sought-after area to live in the country.
