Back in 60's I was taken for learning drives on route 22...as a new driver !! My teacher was a truck driver. The another day, the Pulaski Skyway where I lost a hubcap. I swear he took me on the most grueling drives but....I have never had an accident.

Yeah. Learning to drive on 22 would really be an indoctrination of fire

Often referred to as “Suicide Boulevard.” 😮

Yes, there are plenty of fools who should be driving on 22! BUT .... With no issue, and I love it, I've been travelling it my entire life, driving this exact stretch almost 40 years!!! At least a half dozen times daily. I've lived in Hillside basically my life, worked in Union since the early 80s, mom lives in Kenilworth and hubby Ju s from Springfield! 😂😂😂 This the nothing, although I really hate that they keep removing valuable U-turns! 🤦🏼♀️

Old, narrow, ugly, and dangerous. If this highway wasn't part of my commute to work, I wouldn't be driving on it. I especially avoid the Union/Springfield part of the highway due to the bottleneck traffic, and people constantly coming in and out of the center aisle of the highway.

Yeah. That Springfield/Union is pretty awful for traffic. And the insanity of the center median being both a u-turn area and a place to house businesses is insane. There are people merging into both the left and right lanes. Often they then need to veer across the center lane to get to the furthest lane to access a different parking lot. It's all sorts of dangerous. I avoid it like that plague...
