Jeff, the main tornado that formed on the Northwestern side of Wakota was an EF4 but when you went through the damage path, I saw outside walls and chimneys still standing! I say that was an EF2 because the EF rating is based off of the damage, not the wind speed! EF0: Chimney damage, road sign removal, branches broken from trees. EF1: Corner of the roof torn off, cars moved, not lifted off the ground. EF2: The whole roof torn off, cars lifted off the ground, large trees snapped. EF3: Roof and outer walls gone, cars are tossed, trees debarked. EF4: Only 1 wall standing, cars thrown, trees snapped near ground level. EF5: Nothing is left of the house, cars thrown 100+ meters, trees ripped out of the ground, ground scouring. I HOPE THAT WILL BE APPLIED IN THE NEXT UPDATE, SHOW MY COMMENT TO THE DEVELOPER!

I am super stoked about this game I just wish they had more missions or better yet sandbox mode so that way we can just chased tornadoes freely without any time constraints other than that I love the game.

This game should definitely try simulating a massive EF5. Can you imagine one of the missions focused around a situation like El Reno? Or creating an EF6 since it's never been seen before? Terrifying, but amazing to play in a game like this.

Or having a scenario mission like say the April 26-27 2011 outbreak where you can place probes while being around a big tornado with a lot of trees and buildings that make it difficult to track

This game looks like it has a really good starting point but really needs some changes. One thing I can really see getting really annoying aside from the physics is the camera and how it seems to want you to get absurdly close to get decent scores. I also agree with the time limit unless its very forgiving.

Tornado ratings now go by the amount of destruction done not by looks or wind speed like before. Although I don’t think looks ever mattered in ratings. You could have a mile wide wedge be weaker then let’s say a rope or stovepipe tornado 🌪. Look at the 2013 El Reno tornado. It has the highest wind speeds and width basically ever recorded indicated by radar, and one of the most bizarre in history on how it moved and speed of it. Unfortunately ended up causing the deaths of beloved storm chasers and rocked the community. Back to the tornado it would’ve easily been an F5 with winds over 250 mph and 2.3 miles or so wide, but because most of it was over farm land and very few structures were impacted besides flipped cars and small barn structures it was rated an EF3. Which I feel takes away the severity and actual impact of the storm. That’s just my feelings. Remember to leave an escape route preferably paved roads, and keep your situational awareness about, and if at anytime you loose your awareness or feel uncomfortable with your situation you should start your escape plan, and try to remain calm. Safe chasing all!! If you want to start chasing I highly recommend you watch a KZbin video by Skip Talbot, and study the basic fundamentals of chasing and how to do it in a safer manner, and to minimize the risks that go along with it. 😀

i do storm photography during the summer ive seen only about 2 or 3 weak funnels. This game is good at capturing that feeling of Adrenalin when u see anything tornado related.

enjoying watching this series, i have been watching when you take photo's the focus adjust itself on its on when you put it on things. The closer the object the lower the number, the farther it is the higher the the focus needs to be. you have to let the focus get where it needs to be before taking the photo. its like holding a real camera at someone you want a photo of but have to wait a few seconds for it to adjust right. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see the online play of this game.

if you wanted to, you could do storm chasing in Garry's Mod with GDisasters. it has realistic suction physics, and a radar so you can actually track the tornado. the only downside being, you have to spawn the tornado yourself.

Dont believe feel free to call NWS in wilmington, Ohio. I recently set down with the Ken at NWS in wilmington and discussed the problems they are having with spotters. Get ur information back to them. There having a hard time issueing warnings for ohio because and i quote his words "Noones calling anything thats happening in, And we are blind as to what is going on at spotter level." Videos are great and all but unless u turn that information in to NWS, its useless to have. Now im done Enjoy your day.

Love the look of this gam, and in fact purchased it after watching your last video on this game. I do however completely agree about the time limit gameplay. That’s one aspect of gaming i do not find fun whatsoever. However I have decided to support the devs and gamble on them removing this aspect, if they are following comments on your video. They certainly deserve support for bringing a new type of game to the market.

apparently the tornado category multiplier is the category of the tornado like 1x is EF0, 1.1x is EF1, 1.2x is EF2, 1.3x is EF3, 1.4x is EF4 and 1.5x is EF5

I think the mud physics are accurate to what you come across in real life, especially on those Texas mud roads, but the physics need to be way better for dry roads and wet roads. Hail can be sloppy too due to it being ice on the road.

hey jeff what tornado video was that for gta 5 which you mentioned a lady driving near the yellow jack going down the back alley was driving into a tornado? I cant remember which one that was but I thought that video was pretty good too. also you might want to try maxing out the new tornado mod settings and having the width about 20. there is a reason I think you can have it keep people and objects flying around inside unless they are in cars. I did this and well I couldn't get my character to drop to the ground unless in a car.

Have these devs ever actually seen how a tornado forms? Because that wasn’t even close. That tornado is nowhere near where it would actually form based off of that radar image. Where’s the RFD, where’s the velocity mode on the Doppler radar.
