Driving across country is one of my favorite things to do, but it MUST be in a good car. Seems you have a great companion for doing so and helping with the love for older cars which a lot of use have. I had a car that was basically given to me that I took halfway across the country , at least, 4 or more times and I never had any issues with it, but it was a German car. That radiator stop leak is HORRIBLE stuff, and I can't believe they instructed you to put that into your newly rebuilt Lamborghini's engine. Once , I put that crap into one of my cars and I learned my lesson when trying to flush it back out of the cooling system years later because it basically turns into Mud and is very hard to flush out of the engine block and radiator. I will never use that crap again, and just fix the leak.

K-seal is made of magic. I had a 92 camry that overheated when the 20+ yr old radiator exploded on the hwy. The block got so warped that it would leak 2-3 gallons of coolant a month. I put a bottle of k-seal in the radiator, and It completely sealed after about a week of driving it. For the next 3 years it never leaked again and I finally got tired of driving a near 30 yr old car and upgraded. I wouldn't be surprised if it still runs to this day. I am still to this day mind blown by how well it worked.

so just wanted to share as a gear head and a mechanic, non fuel injected vehicles; as in cars with carburetors require re-jetting of said carburetors as you climb to higher altitudes. the more displacement a car has the lower that altitude is before re-jetting is necessary and the more often it is needed. air is thinner up high so cars require less fuel. no idea how difficult that is on a Countach but on old muscle cars its pretty easy. that was the reason why the car started running poorly. so be careful. To much fuel in the cylinders can result in a condition known as washing the rings, and results in scored cylinder walls. if you are going to road trip that beauty consider looking into how to re-jet it. thats just part of the fun and adventure of owning a classic car.

The problem you had when it did not run right is caused by altitude. The higher you go the thinner the air. Which is why it died in the day, during the heat, but ran at night, thicker air from night moisture. When you get home your car will need an air to fuel intake adjustment. Great vid.
