I love your channel! I also like the feel of pond hockey. When I was a kid growing up in the DC area the ponds used to freeze almost every winter. It has been a long time since they've frozen.

Love this, as an Canadian living in Indonesia especially. I worked in forestry near Timmins about 25 years ago, so it was great to see that part of the world again. Back then though, we had below -25C multiple times by Halloween, let alone Christmas, so it’s sad to see that it’s warmed up so much since then and that you had to go so far for an out door rink. I hope next year you find an actual lake to skate on.

I live 2hours (based on the winter road) from Moosonee, (Kashechewan) and the ice freezes like November 12, but it freezes up all the way around December 18 LOL

In Minnesota all the lakes are almost melting. I’m in Mexico for vacation the at the time I’m typing this. Chilling in the ocean. I brought my sauce kit and my baseball glove. :)

Sorry you had to travel so far. On our neighborhood lake first Skate was Nov. 8, 2019 and last Skate was Mar.27, 2020 on same lake. Near Duluth, MN. Good luck next season, can't wait.
