3:15…. A couple of things about your comments. St. Johns County beaches just aren’t wide enough in most areas for two-way traffic. From A Street to Dondanville Road, some of the beach is pretty wide, but they created a dune between the driving lane and the houses on a large portion of it after one of the hurricanes and the SJC beaches get packed in the summer. Also, If you think SJC beaches are over regulated, go to Huguenot Memorial Park in Duval County. 5 MPH speed limit and they mean it. Yikes!

You hit the nail on the head, Texas allows you to “do more” on beaches that definitely don’t look as nice as my Florida beaches. Unfortunately it’s been my experience that if you allow humans to be free, nature suffers.

i keep looking at these Toyota sequoias in the vid. so basically 2wd sequoias never came with a traction off button. just the 4WD versions. so im looking at the ones in the vid and none of them have the 4x4 badge so, it got me wondering how the hell are they making it through the deep ruts and soft sand with all that weight. i have a 2wd limited with the 20” inch wheels. basically no side wall. so , i usually air down to about 10-15 psi and just lock it into 1-2 gear. once it notices slip “soft sand”, it cutts power immediately and doesn’t wanna move.

Great videos! You Da Man for a question I have. Is the Tacoma 4x4 Sport good enough for the sand? People say the Tacoma Off Road is much better with the crawl control but I wonder if that’s the true or really necessary. I wonder if the Tacoma Sport with a recovery track board as a safety utensil is good to go in the Outer Banks. Looking forward to your feedback.
