Some thing about saving a old truck is great I learn on an old cabover like that one it had no power steering, no cruise control, no power mirrors. No air conditioning, no power windows. No automatic transmission and if you were lucky you had a AM radio most of the truck drivers out there today could not drive one like that I'm 64 years old I learned how to drive when I was 18 and I will always have a soft spot in my heart for a good looking cabover
@ronfullerton31623 жыл бұрын
And that am radio had a cardboard speaker cone that wasn't very clear to listen to even before it started cracking. Those old trucks were still neat, even if not as good at creature comfort.

I ran in to an old school trucker a couple years ago at a dock. I asked him about "the good ole days" which he mention driving trucks with no power steering. He told me the truck was "you gave to bounce it", which I took it to mean herky-jerky it to take weight off the steer tires so the steering wheel could be turned even if only intermittently.

The Bravo 3 is the one with dual counter-rotating props. The visual difference in the Bravo 1 and Bravo 2 is the lower half. The Bravo 1 has a swept back skeg below the prop shaft and the Bravo 2 is not swept back. If oil is leaking out, water is getting into the drive. You mentioned the drive makes a noise - it could be the gimble bearing which is a relatively easy fix.
@fsctrucking4 жыл бұрын
The engine will be coming out. I intend on replacing the drive and the gimbal bearing. In fact I just got in the removal/instalation toon and alignment tool.

Well, the 352 looks pretty nice, even with the frame being so rough. Tis a shame that the rails got into that condition, but it happens. That truck IS worth saving...and it has a Cat engine ...SWEET! A cabover with a Cat! 🤩 I don’t know what the wheelbase is, but I think it’s long enough in my opinion. Is it getting new rails or just a slice N repair? The new owner is really gonna work it? Sweet! 🤩 Doing the repairs on this rig will really get attention! Trust me! 🧐 Cabovers rule! 🥰
