I'm all good with ads, yall gotta get paid. I don't wanna skip them so you keep getting ad contracts, but putting an ad at the climax of Zach's story makes it real hard to not skip. Just food for thought.
@edwardcunningham27014 ай бұрын
You can fast forward through an add read, they already got paid for it. The KZbin add you can choose to skip after five seconds, that, if you watch it, increases there revenue.
@UberSpartanVG4 ай бұрын
@@edwardcunningham2701 Did you miss the podcast a while back where they explained why they moved away from frontloading all the ads? They mentioned losing all of their ad contracts overnight because the ad companies requested the retention data and it showed everyone was skipping them. Yes they've been paid for this ad already but they might not get more of everyone skips them.
@Bob_Smith194 ай бұрын
@@edwardcunningham2701you’re assuming YT allows you skip it. They’ve been serving more unskipable ads lately and they’re longer lengths. 30 seconds is the norm.
@UberSpartanVG4 ай бұрын
@@Bob_Smith19 Especially if you watch on a TV, I think I read that they decided to do fewer ad breaks but 45 seconds to a minute of unskippable ads for TV viewers because, "users preferred it on other streaming services".... KZbin is getting real greedy, Netflix and Hulu pay far more for their content than youtube's minimal ad revenue share. And they all have overhead cost to cover of course, but the fact that YT premium is almost as much as ad free Netflix or Hulu is robbery that I refuse to buy on principle.

34:54 - Matt some corrections on the Volvo's Polestar Engineered models. Also, I am all good with ads - whatever it takes to continue the TST Podcast. 1. The Polestar Engineered is the top trim for the XC60. The "Ultra" model you are referring to that allows you to option the wool seats, air suspension and Bowers & Wilkins starts at $69,145 where as the Polestar Engineered starts at $76,545. However you can option the Ultra model to cost more than the Polestar Engineered trim. 2. "This was too stiff" It sounds like you did not manually adjust the Ohlins suspension on the car. When placed in a comfort setting, the car is much nicer on the street. It takes about 10 minutes to turn the nobs and dial it in. Source: I own a V60 Polestar Engineered

Sorry, but having to manually go into the wheel well and adjust the suspension on an $80k luxury car in this day and age is ridiculous and a valid complaint.

I agree with Matt about the 911SC. They’re a good middle ground between earlier cars and 3.2 Carreras. He’s right most of them need a good chunk of work to be a driver but they all start at a solid point. I’ve worked on several and they’re a delight once they’ve been gone through. They’re also a good set of SSI headers and a muffler away from being an awesome sounding little ripper. Forget the AC, it isn’t worth repairing unless you fully replace it all. It can be done, however.
