I heel toe in a semi quite a bit because using the clutch is basically useless, transmissions in semi trucks (in America) dont have synchros so weather you use the clutch or not you have to manually match rpms with road speed and blip the throttle to raise the rpms when downshifting
@matt_pick4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I knew about heel and toe but never knew the purpose of it because I have only recently got into sim racing

I think the biggest issue i have with HnT is my tendency to mash the break when i try to blip or i do the reverse and lift off as i blip. Feel like as time has rolled on and i got used to the pedals they just feel too soft like i need more resistance. That and i can't left foot brake thanks 2 my F'ed up knee.

does the Blipping works with sequencial gearbox cars like the Z4?
@Jimmy_Broadbent10 жыл бұрын
It depends on the sim. In iRacing, the Z4 has an autoblip built into it, so there's no need to blip manually.

Jimmy, have you driven the RUF C-Spec in iRacing as of late? I've been driving it in the WSCS and am having massive issues with the blipping in that car. In every other car in the service that needs to be blipped I've never had an issue, but this car is just a pain in the ass at times an refuses to downshift until I'm off the brakes. It makes no sense to me what is going on with the car.

@imaweerascal3 жыл бұрын
It's a great idea in a beetle! The pedals are actually perfectly set up for heel and toe, as the throttle is that weird hinged flap instead of a more normal one.. I actually learned this in a '74.
@KhazAlp3 жыл бұрын
@@imaweerascal Oh did you as well? That's amazing. I agree with you, it's really easy to do it in a Beetle, and sometimes it actually helped me when I had to quickly slow down and turn.
