Everybody fussing over the oil smoke. My 383 smokes after being seized for 40 years. New valve guide seals didn’t fix mine. So what... oils cheap so dump it in once in awhile. Besides... the guys in the know will tell you to leave this one alone too. It’s never been opened and it should stay that way for value. Dump a quart in and enjoy. His Dad ran that one good and for that I salute him. Thank you for your service.

after seeing the Story behind the Black Ghost this morning, I had huge expectations for this one. Sad to see the car was driven only in a circle... I would love to see that car go through some canyon roads or a drag strip. Keep up the good content, I suscribed :-)
@justsorandom764
@justsorandom764 3 жыл бұрын
If you saw the story you should know why it isn't at a dragstrip. That car is basically a one off with historical value(The shaker hood suit) and it is 100% original. The second you break something... like say a motor that appears to be burning oil, the value on it plummets. Now imagine you throw a rod through the block and trash the vin matching block. Not only has he broken his dad's relic, but he can no longer restore it with matching vin numbers. What is more than plummet, because that is what will happen to the value of that car if it ever gets restored without matching the vin to the engine block vin. Not every car is a race car. Some, like this, are museum pieces.
@steveorules3972
@steveorules3972 3 жыл бұрын
Beautiful numbers matching car with an amazing history. For me the bed step would be to do a oem rebuild on the motor. Its starting to smoke and it's best to address it while it's a basic and relatively affordable rebuild before something major might happen especially if he intends to give it to his son for a 3rd generation. Awesome story👍

...they should send that Hemi up to Nick's Garage in Montreal QC Canada....Nick is a Hemi master, and he'd do right by that car... He has done a lot of those, including bone stock factory rebuilds...his 426 Keeper was featured in a Penzoil commercial...he did that engine up exactly as it left the factory and he dyno'ed it (he has his own in house dyno) at almost 500/500 in factory trimp (cast intake and exhaust, 4 barrel etc...etc...). It would look good beside his '70 440 Kowalski Challenger (complete strip and rebuild true to the factory)... Nick's Garage on YT, check him out.

Hey everybody!!! He already has a dude that spins wrenches So if he has funds, and time ( Which alot of folks are struggling with right now ) I'm sure it's on his mind Personally I love the fact he's being careful But enjoying it as well. It wouldn't be a car if it was a trailer queen.

Thank you for caring. Yea it was a bad day for filming but we resolved some of the issues before the Detroit shoot. We are handing the problems one at a time. I don’t know why people think I don’t understand this, maybe they are just jealous. Hopefully they will find peace in their hearts ♥️.

That is one nice, original survivor! Sound really really good and original too, not that hollowed out flowmaster sound. Everyone wants that raspy straight piped sound but I'm more about hearing that motor, the heart of a beast! Glad he was able to get that beast back on the road, though due to its rarity I wouldn't be driving that out in public too often. Risk of OTHER people hitting you or people denting the doors, backing into the car, scratching the paint is too high. Though it is his car now he can do whatever he wishes. Glad he is passing on that nostalgia to the young generation to remind them what America once was, a truly international powerhouse that no other nation could match. An icon that every kid around the world wanted to be part of and a nation that made the best quality things with pride. A nation that I pray we can become once again. 🇺🇲
