I drive a Police Interceptor Explorer. I was pulling out and had a tight window to get into the lanes. A Hellcat was barreling down the road, but I called it and first feathered then floored that pedal and I was in there in the blink of an eye pulling away from him with extreme prejudice. The guy in the Hellcat pulls up to me and I was ready to go at it with him and he just said... "That was awesome! Perfect execution! You have fun in that thing?" I told him, "Let's just say that it's turned my 150 mile a day commute into a video game." and he started laughing.

I once had the job to drive a brand new Testarossa about 500km from Frankfurt to Rotterdam, where the car was shipped to Saudi Arabia. I was 20, so it was a wet dream come true. I drove carefully because it was a good job that I did more often, and I've never wrecked a car. At first, I was amazed at how cheap the material felt and looked inside. The first few kilometres were great because the engine sounded good and had enormous power for a car at that time. But after 100 kilometers on the German autobahn, the car got on my nerves. Noisy, something rattled and not very comfortable for the track. I was glad that I was rid of the car after the 500km. I liked the AMG vehicles or the BMW 7 Series Alpina, which were transferred more often, better. But of course, that's also a matter of taste.

As much as I enjoy your commentary, it’s a phucking Ferrari, just listening to the engine is more than enough. As Jimi Hendrix used to say: “I prefer to let the music do the talking”. One of the things that struck me the first time I saw a Testarossa was how large it was, and how roomy it was inside. When you see pictures of the Countach it looks like a monster, then when see one in the flesh it’s tiny. I never thought the Testarossa was good looking, but it was a design that was always going to be polarizing. The Daytona, the Dino, the 275gtb are what I would consider some of the most gorgeous objects ever created. But to run a Testarossa flat out on the German autobahn? Hand me the keys!
