What blows my mind is the lack of a clock; which came standard with the Royale trim. Based on the equipment it has... and doesn't have... I would bet this job must have been special ordered this way. Which you could do back then... every option was an individual option... No groups or packages back then... and that gave us the gift of some truly UNIQUE cars... I really miss those days... in so many ways. Great car... thanks for posting it.

@@chriscadillac8448 very good observation and you are on the money! I did not know that a clock came standard with the Royale trim package. This one was an odd one for sure! Such a Charming car all the way around, so I ended up doing all of the extra work to bring it up a few levels! I'm assuming you're a Cadillac Man and I love those too. I have a 1976 Fleetwood d'Elegance with 16k miles in my personal stash. It's very nice.

@@bigcrook73 Hi Bigcrook, thank you for your kind words and especially for your efforts in preserving these old jewels. 👍 Yes, a '76 Fleetwood d'Elegance is a very nice car indeed... I hope you're able to find one with the Talisman package. Yes, I am a Cadillac man. Right now, I have a '68 Coupe DeVille; a '76 Coupe DeVille in Firethorn red with a white landau top and a '77 Fleetwood d'Elegance in Jennifer blue with a navy blue top and interior. I don't drive much anymore; so I use them all as daily drivers, in turns. In foul weather, I use an '01 Buick Park Avenue... one of the better newer cars. Really, you couldn't give me anything they're making today. God bless. ✅

@@unclefester6033 this car has almost no options and it's one of the very few Oldsmobiles like this I've seen without air conditioning. If you check out one of the other videos I have of the car showing under the hood you will see how plain the engine compartment looks without it! It's crazy

LOOKS LIKE IT DOES HAVE AC- IT HAS. THE AC VENTS. FURTHEMORE, IT APPEARS TO HAVE "TILT STEERING."

@@osvaldohernandez7098 it does have the vents but notice the block off plates with wood grain on the left and right hand side of the dashboard. On an A/C car those would be vents. Check out the under hood video on the other videos and you will see that this car was not ordered with air conditioning which is kind of rare in itself. It does not have tilt wheel. I sold this car at auction recently
