First, the correct pronunciation based on the original German is Luus or Lus . I did some of my growing up in Iowa and went to college in Sioux City. There are a lot of those loops that you cannot drive on if it has rained. If you had spent much time exploring Iowa you would know that there are many interesting things to see both historic and cultural. I know of what I speak.
