What is your go to food for lunch stops? Eggs and bacon is a favourite, but wouldn't mind an alternative. 😂

Make some Pho 🍲, keep ingredients separate, heat up the broth and pour over noodles and ingredients. Or keep a container of chicken in a marinade on bamboo skewers in your cooler, get a little gas or wood hibachi and grill, serve on a bed of shredded cabbage and carrots with peanut sauce. Super quick and delicious.

for lunch I usually keep it simple without cooking. I like wraps (or tunnbröd when in Sweden) with ham/cheese/salad

@@photosportive PolarBread is a go-to for us as well, tunnbrød, knekkebrød, would be a nice substitute as well. I'm not a salad guy, sadly, but I think I should check out make some vegetables mikses and cheese. Maybe some ham or real salami or red wine sausages(salted/smoked). Boiled eggs maybe. Noticing I'm getting hungry writing this now. 😂

Thank you Simon and glad you enjoyed it. 😊 I have some necessary upgrades that need to be done before my next trip if I’m to make big pot courses. 😊😊 I usually film so others make the food, who are often better and like it more, so I’ve kept my setup pretty lean. 😊 A new pan and a camp oven is next on the list.

Thank you Frédéric! 😊 I couldn’t believe how lucky we were and the contrast with the snow just made everything pop. It’s hard to get it on film but since you’ve been you can really relate. 😊 If you can, then plan another trip, I need to go back to this place and explore all the valleys and mountains around the route we took. There’s too much to see for just some days, need to spend a week down in that area I think to get the full experience.

Hey Jesper and thank you so much! 😊 Leirdalen was a magical place and a bit later in the summer would have been really great I think, and September with the fall colors must have been super. 👌 A “little” drive from Stockholm is definitely worth it. 😊 6 hours to the start of Jotunheim maybe? I would love to do more traveling in Sweden, I grew up camping with my parents every summer so I feel at home camping there. 😊 Glad you are enjoying the videos, more to come, and hopefully a trip to Sweden will be one of them. 😊

Hey Nick and thank you! 😊 Erik is the best, and we work as one when we go overlanding and filming. It's been me and him since the beginning. He got me into Land Rovers and I got him into filming and this KZbin thing. 😊 If you go back on the channel you can see the old videos and see how it has evolved to this one. I recommend the the winter videos, so much fun. Erik used to live where I live, but he moved back to his home town so we don't see each other as often but we try to get at least two trips a year. When it comes to the Discovery, he initially bought it as a family car, and has had it for a long time, with other Land Rovers, project cars on the side. Also here if you take a look at the channel, there has been 2 P38s, 1 L322, 1 Discovery One, 1 Defender TD5 110 and of course the RRC, which he still has. 👌 So I don't think it will be changed out, but I would love to see he lifting it 2" and maybe modifying it a bit. 😉 Thanks for watching and best wishes from Norway. 18:26 Dyrhaugsryggen. I camped on the foot of the hill for three days back in 06. Hurrungane (mountain-area in Jotunheimen)s a beautiful and great place fro skiing. But deadly, almost every year fatalities happen.

Sounds like a great three days! I would love to go back and go skiing there my self one time. But deadly I can belive, the peaks looks amazing from a far but from the pictures I've seen they look treacherous up close. With so many skiiers up in the mountains too I bet it is busy season for the Red Cross. We met one with a broken foot at our stop after the lunch stop. I remember it clearly as he said he did a line to impress some girls, total fail. 😂😂

We were blown away and so happy we went for the western route. 😊 That’s the thing about Norway, you get everything in such close proximity that you can experience a drive from fjords to mountain tops in just a day. 😊 It’s maybe too much as you see at the end, we can’t really remember all the places we had been. But that’s the good thing about making these videos, makes it all come back and it is a memory preserved. 😊 3 times out of zones, how long is a time zone in km? I have never thought about that. I Maybe should know that. 😅

It is always fun and adventurous, going overlanding exploring without risk . Here in the US, we have dangerous wildlife like bears , wolves, and mountain lions that are still in the outback along with bad people. What do you have for protection myself? I carry a rifle, shotgun, and pistol, and most will tell the ranger that you are camping in the area and carrying a beacon tracker in case you get hurt , so you can call a sos , every year hikers , back packers go missing because they are lost and Don't carry enough water & food & clothing for the changing weather, safety is usually last on the mind, I also carry weather proof Matches , emergency kit , and a ham radio and a satellite phone , if you have never heard of the KZbin called I shouldn't be alive, watch a few real stories reenactment of people stories this might save your life when things go wrong anything can happen to anyone at anytime it's not what you know it's what you don't know always have a plan B 😊 Norway looks beautiful, peaceful and cold I live in texas and fall my favorite time of year and I like fall , winter camping
@LandRoverDrive
@LandRoverDrive 2 ай бұрын
Yeah, risk free, or as risk free as we let it be, Ref. part one and the scary road. 😅 We have Bears and Wolves here in Norway as well, but you find them longer east against the Swedish border. Also we got brown bears which isn't to fond of people. Here you are lucky if see one. :) People in the mountain are usually nice people, you have to go to the center of bigger towns to find trouble. We always have a plan, gear and food to last through an eventual storm or unexpected things. I have been into outdoors since I was little and love to have things in order so I don't worry about us getting into any trouble. We don't carry any weapons, no need, I only use those for hunting. 😊 I've seen some videos from Texas and it would be cool to go there for a trip. Not sure how the camping is there or the rules around free camping?

110kr. that's somewhat around EUR10. Compare this to the money you spent on Diesel. Back in the days when we were in Norway we made a huge mistake, just because of some EUR10-20 I (!) did not want to spend, not visitig the stave church in Urnes. HUUUGE mistake that still regret.

We don't talk about the money we spend on Diesel in Norway, just makes for a bad day. 😂 We drove the toll-road, and paid for my car, if that wasn't clear? And it was fun to be in the same car, if only for a short time. :) We won't not do something because of 110kr, but from experience we have seen more closed tollroads, 500-1000m after we have paid, than open tollroads during spring time. 😉 Best, Simon

Thank you! 😊 It would be fun to meet Magnus, seems like a really nice guy, not sure overlanding is his thing though. 😊 Could be a camp and outdoor climb type of thing, like Alex Honnold does at El Capitan.
