3 жыл бұрын

It was a busy week Spraying Post Emerge Herbicide on soybean With the Hagie and John Deere Sprayers. Keeping Semis on the road hauling white corn. Replanting a few bean acres that the flooding ditch destroyed. Plus we spend a lot of time firing up the irrigations to water the corn.

I never realized how much work 1 irrigation rig was to keep going let alone 23! All you guys do a great job. Our family farms south of Mattoon, I can remember years ago Ray "Geno" Janes talking about some family of his that farms down around St. Francisville.....last month I was at an auction talking to Dwight Stieneman and figured out it was you guys. Small world, I've been watching your videos for several months now and enjoy them all.

Yep Geno was my (Reese) great-uncle on my mom’s side as well as Dwight. Hope he’s doing well, haven’t seen any of the Janes gang from that area since covid hit

I gotta tell you Reese, I'm very happy we don't have to deal with irrigating any crops. I'm sure growing up with it makes a difference? It's just part of farming for ya I guess? Always enjoy your content. Getting combines ready for wheat/oats now.👍👍

What is growing in the field on 150 north of oaktown. It was set out in the spring by migrant workers. It looked like little green sticks sticking up when they set it out but its now tall a bushy kinda looks like canola

Great video as always! I really enjoy the family dynamic of your operation. We had to replant some 15 acres of soybeans as well due to the county dredging a creek and diverting the water downstream. We finished y dropping nitrogen on our corn and sprayed all of our soybeans . Now we are gearing up for wheat harvest and planting double crop soybeans. we then will be traveling around doing custom harvesting. Take care and stay safe!

Thanks for the shout out Bossman. It was good to see you. Reese, if you decide to give up farming you should try standup comedy. I didn't think to ask last week, are the two new youtube farm hands as good at farming as they are at baseball? You sure have enough going on to keep a of of people busy.

I hope every other farmer that makes videos to watches these guys videos pays close attention. This is called work after you get done planting. Always makes me laugh when they talk about how hard they work. They have no clue how much time and sweat goes into irrigating!! When there going racing or to the lake these guys are running pivots and these guys sell there crops for the same price as them. This is called farming real work not just sitting in the tractor for a month in the spring and two months in the fall.

Do you have any pipe? We still have 60 acres with pipe just to know how lucky we are to have pivots. But I do miss ridging with the guidance system with the two pieces of wire witch everyone thought were awesome long before auto steer and RTK.
