Driving through North West London - Hampstead to Wembley

Your video brought back fond memories almost 40 years old! My first bank was the NatWest Bank on 185 Haverstock Hill which I opened in 1982 while I was working for Anglo-American Optical Company near Parliament Hill. I lived on Lisburn Road between 1982 and 1984. From there I moved to Wembley between 1988 and 2005. I am also planning to do a road video of all the places I stayed in London over the past 65 years!

Why has Michaela Community School at Wembley Park got North London College written on the outside? That school opened in 2014 and has the Michaela name written on the outside.

Must be a black cab driver...... 21.5 minutes to reach the A41 then head SOUTH to go round two sides of a triangle to rejoin the A504. That's genius!

Such an ugly city- so many mud-grown, grey buildings that no-one bothers to paint and so much cheap mass-produced housing. Compare that to Paris, Munich or Prague.

This video cannot be from March 2012 some of the car registrations show 2018 and 2019 cars.

It cannot be earlier than late 2019 because it feature the 125 bus on an extended route which commenced in May by the trees aren't in leaf. I would haver been made on a Saturday because all the Jewish shops are closed.

What does the letter "L" on the scooters mean ? ( Learning .. ??? ) - if it means 'learning' there seem to be a lot of 'beginners' ... ?

Its slightly different for motorbikes than it is for cars

Yes you are correct. In the UK 🇬🇧 you ride a scooter 🛵 or a motorcycle 🏍 below 50cc indefinitely on a ‘L’ (learner licence/plate). The only restriction is that you cannot go on any Motorway 🛣!

Any motorcyclist who has not completed their full Motorcycle licence must have L plates... But this doesn't mean they are beginners. Many delivery drivers for example, will prefer to be on L plates for their work - as if you want the fastest learner legal bike (125cc), all you need to complete is a CBT (compulsory basic training) which will last for 2 years until you must renew.... So some riders have been on CBT for many years if not decades.

When I was in UK. I saw empty boarded up streets under a constant grey sky, litter everywhere. Homeless people sleeping in doorways. Opioid addicts out of their mind and women so drunk they urinated on the streets. It's a sad declined country
