Best and only reasonable decision one can make for moving inside Paris! Not a driver but I was born here. Not saying driving is impossible but good luck finding room to park your car and also save some money to do so, not to mention the road raging. The metro system is way enough and a good way to explore the city (line 6 in particular). edit - hey, just noticed your comment is 2 months old. How was your stay?

Essentially its just like driving in London, England; same pushing in, same dicks on the road, same cars, same queues, same dreary grey scenery - same watching your life pass by in a queue while you look at someone picking their nose in the car next to you. Only difference is they drive on the right. Enjoy.

I live in France, therefore I drive on french roads everyday and I can say that Paris and the chaos that we can see on this video is not at the image of what we can experience on other places of the country. French who do not live in Paris hate driving in this city.

I miss the Arc de Triumph. You drove by my favorite place; the park I always went to clear my head!!!!!! No place like Paris!

I'm truly amazed at the traffic you show on this video. And I thought Melbourne, Australia was bad. Holy Farking Hell! We clearly have absolutely NO TRAFFIC PROBLEMS AT ALL! We actually get to travel many kilometres on our daily commutes without stopping. We may go slow at times, but it is actually absolutely nothing compared to Paris. Also, no-one seems to be using their horns. I use mine all the damn time here. I'm genuinely shocked. I will never be driving in Paris, it seems. I will only use public transport unless absolutely necessary. Thanks for sharing.

Paris et sa banlieue est un enfer pour les "provinciaux". Nous sommes stressés au volant et pas très courtois. Mais au moins, si tu sais conduire ici, tu sais conduire partout !

TheTherese3 The capitals of the world are London paris and NYC. Madrid is nothing, it's pretty shitty and it's not even ranked as a global city. Paris London and NYC have a huge foreign population. Tokyo is pretty much 100% japanese. Berlin is nice but doesn't compare.

'go with the flow' was the best solution as it turned out. At 0:15:00 I actually wanted to go straight on but found myself in the 'crossfire' therefore I decided to go left. Then it was like the world was turned upsidedown. If you watch the traffic lights the crossing traffic moves when my light is green and my direction moves when the light is red. Also nice to watch is the red and black car in front of me at 00:16:00 - both want to go first.

Oh boy... I think I am going to freak out. I am just about to leave Florida, to go to Paris and I rented a car.... I am thinking I will park the car to the nearest metro station and then just get the car when I am on my way back to where I will be staying. Is that a good idea? I will be about 13km from the Eiffel Tower.

The carcam is easy to use. It turns on when the car starts en stops after a delay when the car is turned of. It records onto a memorycard until it's full. I have a bunch of those cards in my car and empty them now and then to my computer. Until now I kept everything from january 1st 2012 until now. It's about 1TB per year.

I don't understand. Is there no training on driving in France? moments like 15:16 make me believe people don't understand traffic signals. Are they not educated on lane usage and traffic signals? I would expect this from countries like India that have no driving education programs but in a county like France it seems odd.
