Driving through the north side of Muncie Indiana

I grew up in Muncie. In the 70s and 80d, your impression would be completely different. There was so many industries, Ball, Marhoeffer, auto factories, people would go to work and come back at the same time. It used to be the best place to raise a family back in the 80s.

I know my city. That area is Morningside. You make that right on McGalliard and a left a few blocks after and you’re entering into the Whitley neighborhood.

I have lived in Muncie my whole life, Morningside is NOT considered the “ north side" , it's run down, full of crime and most of the houses need demolished. It's a terrible representation of the town. Why make a video of it?

The first part of the video is the Morningside neighborhood in the far northeast edge of Muncie. It's one of the poorest white neighborhoods in Muncie and many, if not most of the streets are named after Ivy League universities. The big difference between Muncie and it's peer cities of Anderson, Kokomo, Marion, New Castle and Richmond is Ball State. Ball State brings a lot of sports and entertainment those other cities lack.

Also compared to where I live, this isn't considered urban. More like suburban-rural especially if there's no downtown or center city.

Muncie is much larger than you think. I only done videos on a couple parts of Muncie. I'll be doing more videos on Muncie in the near future.
