That was not the 1st Wawa at Holmes Road. The 1st was McDade at Swarthmore Avenue. BTW, "The Lovely Bones", movie with Mark Wahlberg from 1979 was filmed in the McDade Mall and parts of Drexel Hill and Glenolden. They temporarily re-created the mall for a 1970's look for the movie. I worked near the mall at that time. I did TV/Appliance repair 70's till 2007, been all over those streets. Also Philly and Northern Delaware. Born in Chester, grew up in Eddystone.

Are you sure? Theres no wawa there and its only a few blocks from the one i mentioned. Same town Folsom either way but I always thought that was it. We used to go to the Macdade mall all the time when we were bored. We used to call it the MacDirty Mall 🤣🤣

Thank you for sharing this!! I lived in delco from 1974 to 1986. I have fond memories of driving on macdade from going to the thrift shop with my mom to going pep boys with my dad to get my first bike because I saw the movie ET😅.

That used to be Taco Bell across across from Wawa at beginning of video.
