This is a Texas Hill Country Route of beautiful skies, luscious ranchlands filled with cattle, axis, whitetail deer, javelina hogs, and much more! The route comes from Houston to Austin and through the public county roads connecting to Mason, Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, New Braunfels, and eventually back home to HTX. This gem of a Texas Exit leads you to Dos Rios Campground off the Llano River and can provide a spectacular view of the constellations and milky way across the midnight sky. It is truly a sight to see.

Hammet's Crossing Pedernales River, Dos Rios RV Park Llano River, @3:30 That bath tube if you follow and walk (backward direction of your Jeep) to the end you'll get to James River as well, it's VERY pretty once you get to James River from there, from the bath tube. @5:11 Sandy Creek.

Yes it is very pretty, problem is being that its dried up, its not considered navigable water and then considered private land. Texas is tough to understand at times when it comes to laws so I just choose the easy route and try to stay out of as much trouble as I can lol. Thanks for commenting and watching!

@@adventure_48 how do people actually "define" if it's actually "navigable" or not lol.

@@7150285 yeah....problem is when landowners act like they own everything. Laws get tricky and people get put in tough positions...sucks but I guess take it as it comes...

@@adventure_48 yes, land owner could act like they are very greedy and think they own everything. It sucks for people travelling "even legally" though. This is kinda like someone walking in front of your house's "public sidewalk" and you wanna pull out a gun on them for walking on the sidewalk.

There should be a link to follow and find the KML files for this trip, you can upload them into google maps, or Gaia GPS. www.gaiagps.com/map/?loc=9.5/-98.9372/30.3314&pubLink=hUOaaVfGgDyAwj7mftOgqrxG&trackId=8074fdc5-7b15-4816-a26c-1c63a6edc30c I also have them in my google drive, once I am able to share the link I will update you on this! Thanks for visiting!

I like it, some of the non typical "overland" states still have alot to offer.

Is this the same "Hill Country Tour" that is on the OnX Trail map?
@adventure_48
@adventure_48 4 жыл бұрын
I'm not too sure, I haven't used OnX. I am using GAIA GPS, and theres also a feature on google maps that you can create a route and save it as a KML/GPX file and the transfer it over to GAIA. I downloaded part of this route from Rock Solid Rig's youtube link in the video they did.
